bits and bobs. what's caught our eye. Jess: records!!! Records are coming back into style and are just plain awesome!! Once you have a record player, purchasing records is simple and cheap. Almost all op-shops have a vast variety of records at miniscule prices- you will probably become as crazy as I am!!! terrarium building.

Step 1. Find a glass container, jar, fishbowl or vase with a wide opening. Collect your materials. These could include stones, moss, dirt, mini grasses, cacti, succulents and baby ferns. Also, collect any little decorations to put inside your finished terrarium. Rat and bird skulls look snazzy, or gemstones and crystals, and even little kid’s toy dinosaurs look great!!

Step 2.. Layer you terrarium. Begin with a layer of stones or charcoal, then some moss, then your dirt, and then plant your plants. Adding more moss to the finished product looks neat too. Step 3. Add your decorations and you’re finished! These are great addition to any space, and they look amazing!!

spaces The dream riders office!!

This is the place all the ideas come from. We have spent a heap of time making this space cosy and happy, because who would want to hang out in a spider-infested dusty cave? (certainly not Charlotte!!) This for us, is the perfect example that you can make a cosy, likeable space with a little budget, using things from around your home.

grace. How well do you know editor, Grace? Interview and photos by Jess. How would you describe the perfect day? At the beach, just chillin with my friends. Who would your favourite artist be? I like the inspirational art by Kristina Webb, but I also like other artist pieces but don't know their names. Do you have any pets? I have a cat named Zoe, a dog called Meg, a rabbit and some chickens.

Whats your style? Quirky and colourful.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? To France, and visit Paris. I would say I’d eat frogs but I’d probably chicken out. If you could be any animal, what would it be? A sea turtle as then I could explore the beautiful ocean. How would you describe yourself? Crazy, Blonde, Stupidly Funny, Quirky.

home style: minimalist vs. cluttered

The chunky clutter shelf is full of knick knacks lined up across it. The random objects usually have a quirky aspect. This is easy to recreate with simple decorations from op-shops.

The Minimalist Style: Minimal Objects on one shelf. Usually following a colour scheme with lots of white, with accents of pink and grey. To vote for you style go to http://dreamridersmag.blogspot.co.nz/ on the page Minmalist vs. Cluttered

how to host. a sophisticated get-together. There are a few key tricks hosting a slick sophisticated gathering. Whether it’s a dinner party, a housewarming or just a plain get-together- everyone wants to impress. How can you be a great hostess for the mostest? Quite simply, actually. Tip #1. Clean Up, but don’t CLEAN UP. Guests want to feel at home at your venue, so they can relax and not have an awkward evening trying to keep the place spotless. Tip #2. Make sure any food that can possibly be prepared is prepared before the guests arrival. This gives you time to sit down and talk with your guests. You don’t want to make the situation more awkward by being in the kitchen the whole night. Tip #3. Have a loose schedule planned, but don’t freak out if it is not exactly followed or done properly. You know the guests better than we do, so if they would be happy just to sit down and catch up then do just that. Tip #4. Light a scented candle, and be proud of your space. We are sure you will all be able to have an awesome time.
