Master’s Project: Creating a framework for the creation of unique high-rise residences
Pre-Fab High-Rise Pre-Fab High-Rise is a structural and architectural framework for the prefabrication of flexible, responsive, and economical high-rise structures in quickly urbanizing areas. After spending a semester researching the conditions of urbanizing metropolises in Asia, this proposal was developed to create a process for the creation of residential buildings. By applying a prefabrication methodology to save costs and time while ensuring quality of construction, a technical framework was designed which then informed the architectural stance of the project, which was to create a successful vertical community. Primary and secondary structural systems were employed and tested as part of this process as well.

Master plan and detail development of a K-12 boarding school in rural Haiti.
Haiti Sustainable Education Working with a 'real' client who formed the Haiti Sustainable Education organization, we were charged with creating a master plan for a K-12 boarding school in rural eastern Haiti. Taking into consideration the issues of community, feasibility, safety, and the needs of the children, the master plan was refined and then one aspect of the plan was developed in detail.

The core goals of the master plan were to create opportunities for and encourage social connections across the hilly site. The final focus of the project became a large, multi-use amphitheatre space which acts as the public interface of the school on its public side while facilitating circulation and activity.
