The excitement and challenges in starting your own online business to live a life of freedom As I opened my laptop this morning, I saw that I have received my very first comment on one of my blog posts! I probably read it three times as i smiled from ear to ear. Yes, this is only a small victory and it’s only early days, but I do believe it is so important to celebrate your small victories when you’re starting your online business.
The Roller Coaster ride The excitement and challenges in starting your own online business to live a life of freedom can become like a roller coaster ride. Everything starts off great, but then you eventually run into stumbling blocks. This is where you are presented with two choices: give up or try again . In Robert Kiyosaki’s book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, he explains that the difference between someone who will be successful and someone who will continue to live a mediocre life, is the way they treat failure. He says that the rich and successful use failure as a driving force of motivation in order to move forward, whilst the crowd get discouraged by failure.
Advice I applied to my life One thing that I found helped me a lot during this roller coaster ride, was to think and act like a rich person. Very often I ended up wanting to give up because the excitement and challenges in starting your own online business to live a life of freedom can become overwhelming. I decided to take Rich Dad’s advice and started asking myself: Is this what a rich and successful person would do? Would a rich and successful person vegetate in front of the TV because he’s tired? Or would a rich and successful person rather go to bed earlier and get up at 5am to work on his goals? If you cultivate the habits of a rich and successful

My greatest asset in starting my online business I found that it is so important to have a support system.
