Minor Emphasis: Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP)
In collaboration with our Cal-Nev-Ha Kiwanis, this program dedicates itself to protecting children from pediatric trauma. Pediatric trauma affects children from infancy to the age of nineteen. It can be the result of anything from drowning accidents, falls, animal bites, etc. It is the leading cause of death in children in the United States. By raising funds and awareness through education for this program, KIWIN'S hopes to prevent any of these accidents from transpiring.
Governor's Project: Thirst Project
This project's aim is to bring safe drinking water to communities around the world where it is not immediately available. They hope to end the global water crisis by building fresh water wells in developing communities that need safe, clean drinking water.
