BENTO Bento is a tableware that separates food in an enclosed space, although the food is separated in the Bento, but the taste in the mouth is fused together again, so I capture an idea that includes separate and blend. Using the one of my concept models of Bento that I develop before. It is the ellipse shape to make space.

THE OFFICE The design is driven by a simple idea of openness and nature. I attempt to create a few public spaces and some multi-functional areas of various sizes. Wieden+Kennedy is an advertising company that gathers some of the most creative minds of the world. the different size multi-functional areas cater to their possible need for privacy and individuality. I also use some natural materials that would help employees to feel more comfortable working in their office.

NOGUCHI: DUMBO The Gregory of Noguchi, the object uses flat and curve-edge sections interlocking each other to make a stable unit. I attempt to investigate it in a framing box to discover the relation of curve and straight. This space is inspired by the concept of gregory that uses interlocking walls, curved and combine straight line to separate exhibition area, public area and administration.

THE RESIDENCE The design is driven by a contrasting idea of public and private. The public spaces are inspired by Paul Rudolph’s residence (white and black, cool and artificial materials), while the private spaces speak to central park’s warm and soft materials and atmosphere. On the third floor the living room and dining rooms are seperated from the family room and guest bedroom. On the fourth floor, the Office and Master bedrooms are combined and the two kid-bedrooms share a playroom. These spaces are separated by a sliding door.

INTIMATE SPACE “Covering is the concept of the model. People go into a public area like a museum. People can get into some atmosphere of the exhibition, because of the background sound, light or wall help them to make their private moment. So, That space will become an intimate area. In this model, there are movable walls that people can create their private area by themselves. The light condition will be a secondary factor to help it.
