Meet the Jetline team This months edition we are pleased to introduce another two valued members of our team – James Sissons and Julie Morgan. Below you can find out a little more about them. Name:
James Sissons Position: Sales Consultant Age: 30 Married: Not yet Children: No Cruise ships sailed on: 2 Favourite cruise line: RCI Hobbies: Football, Mountain Biking, Exercise and the occasional pint of the amber nectar.
As one of the new additions to the Jetline cruise family I was asked to tell you a little about myself. Born in Yorkshire I have migrated all over the country from Leeds to Manchester, Cambridge, London and finally choosing to settle in Hertfordshire. Holding off growing up as long as possible - I attended universities in Manchester and Sheffield gaining a degree and masters in medical research.
My work background started in pharmaceuticals as a territory manager selling medical products and devices to doctors and hospital consultants. Since then I have gained further sales experience in pharmaceutical and financial markets. I feel this brings a different pool of knowledge and some good old Yorkshire common sense to the Jetline Cruise team and helps them to continue growing. I am joining a company of friends and have been infected by their passion for cruising and all things nautical. I continue to be impressed by the vast range of ships and the different facilities they have to offer. I am well travelled and look forward to helping all of Jetline Cruise’s loyal members find their next holidays on the wide range of cruise lines visiting the thousands of amazing destinations around the world. James

Hi - My Name is Julie, and I am one of the newest members of the Jetline team, working in the new offices at Stansted and loving every minute. My colleagues are fantastic, and always willing to help – we have a great team spirit in the office! This is my first experience of working in travel, as I have previously owned a pub before and in both roles I love meeting and chatting to customers. I’m enjoying the new challenge of working for Jetline cruise, and what

could possibly be better than talking to you about amazing holidays all day?! I have found it extremely interesting learning all about each different cruise ship and the destinations they go to. By the time you have received this brochure the team and I would have visited Independence of the Seas at Southampton – and I cannot wait. It will be so helpful to experience the ship, and we can tell you all about it when you phone in to make a booking! I hope to speak to you in the near future! Julie

Cruise Industry News It would seem that cruise lines are becoming more optimistic on the financial outlook with prices rising or at best remaining firm as demand remains strong. Here at Jetline we are constantly in touch with cruise line executives advising what the market is responding to. We are caught in the middle between trying to get the lowest prices for our members and the best return for cruise companies. Quite often we are given great deals to promote which quickly go up in price as the bookings come in. If you see a great deal – grab it !!!
P&O Ventura receives top satisfaction scores P&O Cruises Ventura has finally settled into its sea legs, achieving the highest overall satisfaction score of any ship in the fleet. Managing director Carol Marlow declined to reveal the actual score, but said it was ‘remarkably high’ and covered all aspects of the ship. She did disclose that food across all restaurants scored 99.7% whilst the percentage of passengers who said they would cruise with P&O again was ‘in the mid-90s’, many of whom would choose Ventura again. Marlow said: “It’s a great comfort to see that Ventura has really settled down, and is now doing what it was supposed to. When I was on board in August, there were 700 children and a lot of newcomers, but also quite a few past passengers who had come because it’s a great ship for kids.” Initially Ventura experienced major problems after its launch last year, mainly due to the fact that many of the new offerings on board such as allowing passengers to dine when they wanted did not work. There were also clashes between new cruisers and past passengers of P&O Cruises. Marlow said: “Ventura was a challenge. It was our biggest ship and positioned furthest away from tradition, but it is now performing extremely well. The reviews are getting better. It is doing what P&O set out for it to do.”
P&O Artemis sold There have been rumours circulating for a few weeks that P&O Cruises Artemis was to be sold. At the time P&O would only confirm that they had received an enquiry from an unnamed source; however it has now been released that the ship has been sold to MS Artania Shipping for an undisclosed sum. Artemis will continue to operate under the P&O flag until it has completed all the cruises currently listed in P&O’s brochure until 12 April 2011, although the sale is set to be completed on 6 October 2009. P&O Cruises have not clarified what will be happening to the ship, with Artania being a new name to many and most other industry observers. A further statement discloses - “After Artemis leaves the P&O Cruises fleet, MS Artania Shipping is set to charter the ship to the German tour operator Phoenix Reisen.” So the ship originally called Royal Princess and named by Princess Diana in 1984 - will join Albatros, Amadea, Alexander von Humboldt, and Athena. There’s no word yet on whether P&O are planning another addition to their fleet, following the introduction of mega-liner Azura, a 3,000-passenger sister ship to Ventura, next April. Artemis’s last voyage for P&O will be a Grand Voyage to the Far East, leaving from Southampton in January 2011.

Cruise prices to revive Research has suggested that the cruise market will see a return to pre-recession pricing once the global economy recovers. Adam Goldstein, president and chief executive of Royal Caribbean International, said the industry successfully used price to revive the market after the September 11 terrorist attacks. Despite recognising that there were concerns the current low pricing in the sector might be irreversible he concluded that this had not been the case in 2001. “We’ve been through economic cycles before, and all these questions were asked in the aftermath of September 11,” said Goldstein. “Then we went to very low pricing to shock the market back to life, and there was a lot of angst that maybe we had educated the public that was the proper level of pricing. But eventually it came back – it was supply and demand.” Goldstein added that the crisis of 2001 was ‘shorter and sharper’ than the current downturn, though Royal Caribbean are experiencing a yearly decline in revenue of around 13%, the largest in the line’s 40 year history. Oasis of the Seas (pictured above) is commanding a premium of between 30% and 50% for its cabins, and Goldstein said the vessel’s launch and the worldwide publicity it will generate will create the same sort of buzz around cruising that the launch of Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 did in 2004.
Oceania Cruises begins construction of new ship Marina Some of Oceania Cruises’ most loyal past guests were on hand as the first piece of steel was ceremoniously cut to officially begin construction of Oceania Cruises’ first brand-new ship at the Fincantieri’s Sestre Ponente Shipyard in Genoa, Italy. During the ceremony, Frank Del Rio, Chairman of Prestige Cruise Holdings, Oceania Cruises’ parent company revealed the name of the first ship as Marina along with design details of the Veranda Staterooms and Penthouse Suites. “Oceania Club members, our loyal repeat guests, are not only responsible for Oceania Cruises’ success, they have also played a great role in the design and development of these splendid new ships,” stated Del Rio.

After the ceremony, Oceania Club members were invited to tour their future homes at sea—the builder’s mock-ups of the Veranda Staterooms and Penthouse Suites. These accommodations, which are on average, 50% larger than those on the Regatta-class ships, will set new standards for spaciousness and comfort. Veranda Staterooms, at 312 square feet, will incorporate larger sitting areas, marble-clad bathrooms with separate tub and shower, copious closet space and extra-large private verandas for relaxation. The Penthouse Suites will be 429 square feet and feature a large living area, space for in-suite dining, separate
sleeping area, extra-large bathrooms, walk-in closets and a host of other amenities. The new ships will be awash in rich, dark woods, Italian marble, lustrous granite, fine wool carpets and sumptuous leather. No detail is being overlooked to create an array of spacious, yet intimate public spaces and luxurious staterooms and suites. They will accommodate 1,252 guests in 626 staterooms and suites who will be served by more than 780 staff members. 96% of all accommodations will feature private teak verandas and guests will dine in their choice of six open seating restaurants.

The Star Ferry
Haggle in the street markets Try authentic Chinese food GETTING AROUND It took approx 30-40 minutes to transfer from the airport to Hong Kong Island by pre-booked transfer coach which cost approx £20. Alternatively there is a rail service which takes you via Kowloon to the Central area of Hong Kong Island. Hong Kong has an incredible clean & efficient subway system and presents an excellent way to get around; this was my main mode of transport. The STAR FERRY is ideal to cross Victoria Harbour between Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. It takes about 15-20 minutes to cross and is a great introduction to the vibe of Hong Kong. WHERE TO STAY If your Cruise itinerary includes an overnight hotel stay before or after your cruise we usually include hotels close to the port on the mainland in Kowloon. Just off to the right of the Tsim Sha Tsui area of Kowloon and the famous Nathan Road is the Ocean terminal. You must visit the museums here and the incredible street markets. If you are staying for longer than 1 night we recommend Hong Kong Island; just across Victoria harbour from Kowloon. There are a number of areas to stay on Hong Kong Island. I found that Causeway Bay was the perfect choice being relatively calm, open and green with its impressive shopping district and Victoria Park close by. My hotel was the 4 Metropark - a high rise executive style hotel with a rooftop pool minutes walk from Tin Hau subway station. SIGHT SEEING The picturesque Hong Kong skyline is of Victoria Harbour and the waterfront on Hong Kong Island – this is best viewed from Kowloon at night when the “ Symphony of Lights Show” is performed. This light and sound spectacular combines interactive lights of 33 key buildings on both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon with musical effects to showcase the vibrancy and the fascinating night vista of the Victoria Harbour.

From Admiralty subway station take time out to wander through the Sky scrapers of the central Business area and visit Hong Kong Park. See the locals practising Tai Chi; visit the conservatory, the aviary and the museum of Chinese Tea Wares including artefacts from the Ming dynasty. On the far side of the park you will find the Victoria peak tram station which takes you up to the Hills above and behind the Skyscrapers of Hong Kong Island. The views from here are magnificent. Up here you will find a great restaurant, art gallery and Madame Tussauds. SHOPPING For any Westerner visiting Hong Kong it is impossible to visit without sticking to the main tourist shops, restaurants and bars – as everything is in Chinese writing. Having said this - by the look of the non tourist establishments you would probably not want to go anywhere else. The best place to experience a bit of local life is at the street markets in Kowloon where haggling is essential. I found things I wanted to buy on previous Caribbean cruise holidays were much cheaper here. There are separate market places for jade, fish, flowers, electronic goods and a general street market. Jade makes the perfect quality souvenir and gift. Causeway Bay has a busy shopping district with a multi storey shopping mall. This is where I found a Macdonald’s. Electronic goods and camera shops were in abundance and seemed a good buy. This is where I first encountered lots of tailor shops which Hong Kong is well known for. They have bolts of fabric stacked high ready to take your order and make a copy of a designer suit at a fraction of the cost. Take a look at some of the corner stores and you will be amazed at the food they are selling – all kinds of creatures dried, live, frozen & vacuum packed that give you the chills just looking at them.
Hollywood Road is one of Hong Kong’s oldest streets and is famed for its Antiques, curio shops and Chinese style furniture. This is close to Central Station and can be accessed by taking the first section of the worlds largest network of escalators NIGHTLIFE I found two main areas for Westerners to go to : the bright lights and naughty nightlife area of Wan Chai which is the next stop along on the Subway from Causeway Bay. Then 2 stops further on to the busy Central area with its frantic High rise skyscrapers where I found the trendy and sophisticated Lan Kwai Fong western nightlife area for its restaurants and Bars and a spot of people watching. DINING If you wanted a quick snack - Dining presented a bit of a problem unless there were menus written in English (which was quite rare). Macdonald’s came in quite handy! I had some wonderful meals In the Lang Kwai Fong area. I will never forget having authentic Chinese food in an upmarket Chinese restaurant. I was horrified to be served as part of an appetizer a black opaque boiled egg – what should have been the egg white was black and the yolk even blacker. I gingerly ate it not wanting to offend the locals; I later found out this was a delicacy of egg infused with Soy sauce. On the far side of Hong Kong Island is the Jumbo floating Chinese restaurant which is reached by taxi and is a must on any visit to Hong Kong. All in all a memorable place to visit and one that is very different to what I am used to in the States, Canada, Caribbean and the Med! I can’t help but think that there were lots of things I missed out on and is a place I would certainly recommend and return to.

I t is worth paying more to upgrade your cabin and select one which is in the centre of the ship for less movement. Cabins on lower decks are also much better for less movement and tend to be cost less. On westbound cruises your days at sea are 25 hours long to make up for the time difference. Opt for an Eastbound cruise arriving in the Uk to take advantage of shopping bargains in your overseas port. As there are no flights – there are no luggage and weight restrictions. Central Park, New York What to expect Transatlantic cruises offer passengers superb accommodation and leisure activities with just a few ports of call, as most will agree that the greatest appeal of a transatlantic cruise is the voyage itself. Upon boarding your ship you will begin the ultimate journey, sailing out into the bleak vastness of the Atlantic is an experience sure to be both intimating and exhilarating. Westbound ships typically sail from Southampton, Barcelona and several other European destinations whilst eastbound liners usually set sail from New York, Boston, Miami and Fort Lauderdale. The time to cross the Atlantic generally can vary between six days to more than two weeks depending on the route. Regarded by many as the most civilized way to cross the Atlantic a transatlantic cruise can be one way or return and along the way you can do as little or as much as you like. There is no other holiday that allows you the time to really relax and get away from it all. With most days being sea days, depending on your itinerary, you get the opportunity to meet and get to know the other passengers on board, enjoy some well earned down time, reflect and learn, read and rest. Perhaps even a rare opportunity for some inner reflection, to get to know you a little better.
Ports to visit Of course the definitive transatlantic crossing cruise does not stop at any ports of call and the ‘classic’ crossing is the one that duplicates what all the best ocean liners of the 20th Century have done – making the non-stop crossing from the UK to New York in under a week. Then there are those that include popular European ports of call at the beginning of the cruise or Caribbean stops at the end and other crossing that visit the rare mid-Atlantic islands you probably wouldn’t get the chance to see any other way. Azores in Portugal is a mid-Atlantic archipelago of nine islands telling a fascinating story. It is a step back in time where farmers take their milk carts to the fields. Their tenacious history is told in the views of windmills, cliff side vineyards, whaling boats and charming communities. Today the surrounding waters are visited by whales and dolphins and migratory and indigenous birds are to be found. A fascinating aspect of these islands is the volcanic formation and activity that has formed both the natural and human history through time.
Then of course there is the main attraction, New York. See the bright lights of the Big Apple, an international mecca and melting pot, with expensive brown stones, colourful neighbourhoods like Greenwich Village and the Upper West Side and the legendary Central Park. Whilst you are there explore some of the world’s greatest museum such as the Museum of Modern Art, go shopping in Bloomingdales, Barneys and Tiffany’s or head down town and explore the trendy shops of Soho. Walk across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, this engineering milestone ranks among the world’s greatest suspension bridges. From there, head over to the promenade for an even better view of lower Manhattan and the harbor. Next, take a rollercoaster ride, see a dolphin show in Coney Island or explore one of the world’s best Egyptian collections at the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
Other popular stops include Iceland, boasting one of the most exotic volcanic landscapes on earth with both glaciers and volcanic lakes. The crystal clear waters of Iceland represents one of the richest marine A Lake in a volcano in the Azores

Dear Jetline
WOW! You wasn’t wrong when you said I’d see some spectacular scenery on my Alaskan cruise. Being able to look out on to the incredible mountain vistas as well hear the movement noise from the ice flows was a real treat for the senses. Then there was the wildlife on view...all seen from the comfort of our ship which was such a great place to stay.
With my husband and I having never been on a cruise holiday we were completely in your hands. We told you were we wanted to go (New York) and you didn’t disappoint. The itinerary looked good on paper but in reality was superb – the trip of a lifetime. A few nights in the City that never sleeps before flying down to Miami then on the Royal Caribbean Jewel of the Seas to Bermuda. The cruise ship was like a floating city and the evening entertainment was so good and varied. We’re now saving up for next years holiday

Many thanks Gina Hurst, Horsham To Jetline Cruise A huge thank you to you and your team for the med holiday you arranged for us. A fantastic price but more importantly an unforgettable experience. You really did take the stress out of arranging and sorting the necessary documents. Thanks Jonno (email)
Dear Andy Thank you so much for all the help and advice you have given to both me and my wife over the last two weeks. We must have been one of your most difficult customers what with having to find the perfect date to fit between my work commitments and a suitable cabin for my wife’s wheelchair. You have been so patient with us and for that we are extremely grateful, just looking forward to our cruise now which we hope will be one of a lifetime. Kind regards Mr and Mrs Healer

oyal Caribbean International’s Jewel of the Seas gives you the chance to do things you’ve always dreamed about. How about having a manicure whilst taking in some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world, or taking a break from climbing a rock wall some 150 feet above ocean as you sail into your next port of call? Part of the Radiance class, Jewel of the Seas is full of wide-open spaces and with acres and acres of glass allowing you to never miss an amazing spectacle. You might see a hump back whale whilst in the lift or watch the sun setting relaxing in the glass Solarium. Jewel of the Seas entered service in 2004 and offers the ultimate ‘at sea experience’ combined with speed, added comfort, sweeping ocean views and exceptional staff committed to delivering you the cruise holiday experience of a lifetime. Inside, the decor is contemporary, yet elegant, bright and cheerful, designed for young, active, hip types.

The ship’s interior focal point is a nine-deck high atrium lobby that has glass-walled elevators (on the port side of the ship only) that travel through 12 decks, face the sea and provide a link with nature and the ocean. The Centrum (as the atrium is called) has several public rooms connected to it: the guest relations and shore excursions desks, a Lobby Bar, Champagne Bar, the Library, Royal Caribbean Online (an internet-connect center), the Concierge Club, and a Crown & Anchor Lounge. A great view can be had of the atrium by looking down through the flat glass dome high above it. There is a wide range of suites and standard outside-view and interior (no view) cabins to suit different tastes, requirements, and depth of wallet, in 10 different categories and 19 different price groups. Apart from the largest suites (six owner’s suites), which have king-sized beds, almost all other cabins have twin beds that convert to a queen-sized bed (all sheets are of 100% Egyptian cotton, although
blankets are of nylon). All cabins have rich (but faux) wood cabinetry, including a vanity desk (with hairdryer), faux wood drawers that close silently (hooray), TV set, personal safe, and three-sided mirrors. Some cabins have ceiling-recessed, pull-down berths for third and fourth persons, although closet and drawer space would be extremely tight for four (even if two are children), and some have interconnecting doors (so families with children can cruise together, in adjacent cabins. Reflections, the principal dining room, spans two decks; the upper deck level has floor-to-ceiling windows, while the lower deck level has picture windows. It is a fine, but inevitably noisy dining hall, and eight huge, thick pillars obstruct the sightlines. Reflections seats 1,104, and its decor has a cascading water theme. There are tables for two, four, six, eight or 10 in two seatings. Two small private dining rooms (Illusions and Mirage) are located off the main dining room. No smoking is permitted in dining venues. There is an adequate wine list, with moderate prices. Alternative Restaurants: Portofino, with 112 seats, offers Italian cuisine, and Chops Grille Steakhouse, with 95 seats and an open “show” kitchen, serves

premium meats in the form of chops and steaks. Both have food that is of a much higher quality than in the main dining room and are typically open 6pm–11pm. Jewel of the Seas is the perfect place to kick back after busy days ashore. If you’re cruising with the family there’s plenty to do together, but the kids will also be thoroughly entertained by the fully supervised Adventure Ocean® Youth Programme or Optix Teen Centre. The bars and lounges on Jewel of the Seas are a great place to gather with family and friends as your evening entertainment begins. Break open a bottle of bubbly, enjoy pre-dinner cocktails and piano music or relax in the special ambience of the Schooner Bar. After dinner, you’ll find plenty more live music playing around your cruise ship and you might just feel the need to get up on the dance floor! If you prefer to disco on down, head for the nightclub where you can bop until the early hours. Put on your Poker face at Casino RoyaleSM and you may just win the jackpot or, for a great evening of family entertainment, don’t miss out on the West End style productions and variety acts at your cruise ship’s fabulous theatre.

Interview with Carol Marlow Managing Director - P&O Cruises
1
P&O cruises are the market leaders in the UK industry, what do you put this down to?
P&O Cruises was the original passenger shipping line, started back in 1837, and has been offering British cruisers the opportunity to experience an authentic British cruise ever since. We now offer a broad range of cruises on 7 different ships, from the classic to the modern, family friendly to adult only, smaller ships to larger ships, and short taster cruises to full world cruises, and what binds all these holidays together is that they are tailored to the British market - we know what British people like to eat, we know what entertainment they like, how they like to be looked after, where they like to join their ship and where they like to visit on their cruise - in short our passengers tell us that when they are on a P&O Cruises ship, they feel as if they have ‘come home’....a floating piece of Britain, anywhere in the world. That what sets us apart, and means that we take more British people cruising than any other line.

In 2010 you are bringing out the Azura, can you tell us a little more about her?
Azura will be the newest cruise ship built specifically for the British cruise market. She will offer a classic P&O Cruises experience on a sophisticated modern ship. Highlights of the ship include: Sindhu - an Indian fine dining restaurant created by celebrated Michelin starred chef Atul Kochhar. We chose to work with Atul Kochhar because we have forged very successful relationships with other celebrity chefs and find these enhance the holiday experience of our passengers. To give something new for Azura and differentiate this ship, Sindhu will celebrate Britain’s love of Indian food and P&O Cruises long-standing affiliation with India.
The Glass House - a new concept in wine bars with tasting sessions hosted on a selection of cruises by British TV wine expert Olly Smith. Olly has a unique style and humour and makes wine appreciation fun and light-hearted. SeaScreen - an open air cinema by the Aqua Pool. This innovation will allow us to show films popular with our British audience, in a relaxed outdoor setting. This will certainly compliment the full-scale theatre shows, live acts and after dinner speakers on board. The Retreat - a secluded on deck spa area with private cabanas for al-fresco massages and personal waiter service. This demonstrates how Azura has an emphasis on relaxed sophistication. Game On - a dedicated Wii room – an innovation that will be popular with adults and children of all ages. Dancing in the Atrium - a spectacular venue for classic through to modern dancing on our open dance floor. A British pub, that mixes interesting P&O Cruises memorabilia from throughout our past, with the modern artwork of a new London pub Single cabins – Azura is the first ship in the P&O Cruises fleet to offer single cabins and there will be 18 of these on board. These cabins are more than two thirds of the size of a standard inside twin cabin and carry no single supplement.

There are many cruise lines putting in new ships into Southampton why should people choose P&O? We offer more departures, ships and variety of cruises from Southampton than anyone else, and no-one else offers that unique P&O Cruises atmosphere!
4
All P&O ships are based in the UK during the summer months, are there any plans to base a ship out in the med in future years? We never say never, but Southampton is the home of P&O Cruises and our fleet will remain there in the summer months for the foreseeable future.
5
What is P&O cruises most popular selling cruises and why?
Classic Western/Eastern Med cruises are very popular with both newcomers and experienced cruisers, as are our Caribbean itineraries. Our short three night cruises also sell very quickly to groups, first timers or those looking for an additional short break instead of a European city break. At the other extreme, we take more British people right the way around the world on our World Cruises than any other line!
6
As an individual you have just moved over from Cunard to P&O, what are the main differences between the companies? They are both iconic brands, but each has it’s own personality. Cunard has an international audience, and was set up way back in 1839, to take people across the Atlantic. P&O Cruises was started by 2 years earlier, and went east, taking British travellers to the countries of the British empire. The brands nowadays still enjoy a specialness all their own, but to really see the difference you should travel on them!
7
In 15 words please let us know why people should go on a P&O cruise?
‘P&O Cruises’ offers the British traveller an authentic British cruise tailor-made to meet his needs.

We have chosen this itinerary as it represents several holidays in one and gives you the opportunity to visit Florida, shop in New York and explore the Azores which does not feature very often on a cruise itinerary. This MSC Poesia cruise from Florida to Dover also has the added benefit of ending in Dover back home to familiar shores. The 90,000 tonne MSC Poesia is only a year old and having sailed on this ship we were impressed with the range of facilities and the intriguing décor. The MSC Poesia seems to flow very well in so far that it is easy to find your way around with one area leading to another. Her facilities include: 2 swimming pools, 4 whirlpools, 2 pool bars, Kids facilities and splash pool, 4 restaurants, sushi bar, wine bar, 2 large entertainment lounges, theatre, night club, casino, 5 further bars and more. Florida – Dover 16 nights: On board the MSC Poesia. Fly to Fort Lauderdale for overnight hotel stay. This deal is now the best for a fortnight in the Med even more so because it includes an overnight hotel stay in Venice and the itinerary visits the Greek islands. PLUS Norwegian Cruise Lines have very kindly agreed to give you up to $150 per cabin on board spending money to help with you holiday budget. We have also thrown in a mystery gift – revealed once you have made a booking! This is one of our favourite cruise itineraries in the Mediterranean cruising from our favourite port. A short flight takes you to romantic and extremely picturesque Venice; which has one of the best city sailaways in the Med - as the ship glides past Saint Marks Square on its way out to sea. This mixed with the charm and varied beauty of the Greek islands makes a perfect Summer cruise. We always feel it is a shame to sail from Venice and not actually stay there; so with this offer we have included an overnight hotel stay. We have chosen 3 star hotels close to Saint Marks Square and are within easy strolling distance of all the historical sights and the Rialto Bridge. This area is also well connected by the relatively inexpensive water bus which also operates a service to the cruise terminal.
