hen I had you I felt you in my womb right away. Even I couldn’t believe how I predicted it but I guess our connection was so strong. The circumstances were painful then but I was ecstatic to be your mom. I hurtled through the years raising you on my own. I’m so sorry that you received the brunt of my personal pain. I was tough and unforgiving. I am a single mom and I was always worried about your future. But you rose to the occasion. It turned out I didn’t have to worry about you at all because you are simply an amazing child. You astound me with your docility, maturity, independence, hard-work, motivation and passion. I can’t take any responsibility for that not even Ate Ching. It’s you. Maybe because
you understood me and the situation so your own self unconsciously took over. You never gave me any problems. I never had to worry about you at all. So, thank you. Thank you for being loving. Remember the time you had your swimming lesson, and I would just watch you for hours non-stop and it freaked you out. I would just sit there and enjoy watching you. Yes, you don’t have to do anything for me to be fascinated by you. Having you is enough. I have prepared myself for this day to come. I am ready to watch you now spread your wings so high and I will be here waiting for your return to fly again for another journey. I love you. You are everything to me. You not only gave our lives excitement every time you join competitions but the victories that we always have a reason to rave and celebrate. I know you are born to be great leader. I remember, when you were 4 years old, I was astonished by your intelligence, and wisdom of how you see life. You gave me hope by writing those inspirational letters and you would put on my dresser. How could
a child your age write beautiful and consoling letters? You were not a typical child then because you did a lot of crazy and funny things that up to now would entertain and amaze me. How I miss those moments…but as you said, “the rousing thing is that this little girl has grown into a woman.” Even though you are now a grown up, I can still see that beautiful, sincere, honest girl inside of you.
