HOME PAGE At the bottom of the home page, we have a section titled Featured Designers, which includes a grid of six images. These images are rotated through every other month allowing each client to be featured.


CLIENT PAGE Our clients are broken up into two categories: Designers or Brands. If you click on the Clients tab, you will have the option to click on a Browse Designers button or Browse Brands button. Both buttons lead you to a grid section as per the below.

DESIGNER PAGE Each client has a Designer Page where licensees can learn more about you.


BANNERS Please create 10 Designer Page banners and 2 Home Page banners. All banners are the same size at 1600 x 500 pixels @ 150 dpi.

Note: We update the content of the website two times per year, December and May, to keep the content fresh and up to date with new designs and the latest trends. Grid and Banner images need to be sent in at those times.

Our website is a responsive web design, meaning that it will adapt the website layout to the viewing environment by using fluid, proportion-based, flexible images. Key Considerations when Creating Banners: - Do not include any logos on your banners. - Focal point of banner should be in the center so it's always visible - Place all text in the central part of the banner. Any text on the edge of a banner will get cut off. - Edges of banner should still have content, just not copy.

BIO There are no particular guidelines for the bio. You are more than welcome to browse other designer bio’s for inspiration. Please submit as a word document.

DESIGNER PAGE BACKGROUND You will need to submit a repeatable background tile (1030 pixels by 1380 pixels @150 dpi). Our website is designed to tile the artwork for you. Also, please keep in mind the banners rotate out so the background needs to look good with all of your images.

FEATURED DESIGNER On the bottom of the Home Page, you’ll see a section titled Featured Designers (as previously mentioned). Every other month we swap the Featured Designers out. If your brand is being featured, you will receive an email. Please submit 2 Featured Designer images at 510 x 510 pixels @ 150dpi

CLIENT GRID IMAGE All of our clients are broken up into two categories: Designers or Brands (as previously mentioned). Please submit four Grid Images that you feel best represent your brand at 510 x 510 pixels @ 300 dpi. We swap these out throughout the year to keep the website content fresh.

WHITE LOGO FOR CLIENT SECTION The Grid Image you submit sits in front of the logo, and when the mouse is scrolled over, the image fades and your white logo appears (see screen shot below). Please submit an all white logo with a transparent background at 510 x 510 pixels @ 300dpi, saved as a PNG file.


ONLINE PORTFOLIO Do not include branding, logos, watermarks or contact information on your artwork. for the website; just plain/flat design. All website artwork should be saved as 100dpi jpg’s. The standard size for submitting artwork is: Vertical – W: 850 pixels , H: 1100 pixels @ 100dpi Horizontal – W: 1100 pixels , H: 850 pixels @ 100 dpi 3 Formats for gallery artwork: Flat Pattern/Design Collection Sheet Mock Up Flat Pattern/Design – One pattern/design per page Collection Sheets – A collection sheet should contain 4-6 designs, with a maximum of 6 images. If you submit a collection sheet, you should also send individual jpgs of each design. Mock Up’s – Mock up’s should have a maximum of 4 products per page. We display your artwork in an art gallery under our Search Designs section of the website, so that our licensees can easily “shop” your talents. • Name the file starting with your brand initials (AN) and then the image title or number. For example, “AN 123 I Love You”. No two file names can be the same. Important: please label art for the JBL gallery the same as they appear in your records. That will make everything easier in the future when we have art requests for licensees.

In order to provide optimal customer service to our licensees, hi-res file requests need to be turned around in 24 hours. Two options available: 1. Send over all hi-res files as you create new art. A lot of our artists prefer this method. When an artist creates new art, they email a link to Brandy & Katie that contains the low res jpgs and hi-res PSD or AI files. For new artists, you can mail us a drive that we will copy and then send back to you. 2. Respond to hi-res requests we send you within 24-hours.


For the Brand Sheet we will use a lot of the content you have provided us with for the website (i.e. your designer picture, logo, etc.). The only new content we need from you is as follows: For the Front: - 3 hi-res 8.5in x 11in patterns - 3 hi-res 2.5in x 2.5in product shots For the back we will be using banners you have already created for the website. We update brand sheets every year and print them for the trade shows. They get updated by March 1 and you will receive an email with update information each year.

The Brand Book is created by the designer and is used to send or show to potential licensees to easily display your brand as a whole. The most successful brand books are clean, professional, and concise.

Twitter allows you answer the question,"What are you doing?" by sending short text messages 140 characters in length, called "tweets",to your friends or "followers." For business, Twitter can be used to broadcast your company’s latest news and blog posts and interact with your customers. Why is it necessary? More than 313 million people use Twitter every month. Twitter users send 6,000 tweets per second.

FORM W9 The first step in the royalty payment process is to fill out and submit a Form w9. This will ensure we have the correct name and address or entity name and address on file to submit your royalty payments. We will also use the information contained in the form to report your earnings to the IRS and to provide you with a 1099 to calculate your income taxes. If at any point your information changes, please reach out to our Director of Finance.

ROYALTY PROCESS TIMELINE Royalty Payments to our clients are paid 60 days after the quarter. Reports and payments from Licensees are generally due to Jewel Branding 30 to 45 days after a quarter has ended. Jewel then spends the following 15 days auditing the reports, creating a royalty report and determining payment for our client. After day 45 after a quarter has ended – all Advances and Royalty payments received or collected will go on the following quarters report. Below is a sample timeline with regards to timing of our Quarter 1 Royalties: January 1st – March 31st: Q1 Royalty Period April 30 – May 15th: Royalty reports are due to from Licensee February 16th - May 15th: All payments received during this timeframe on behalf of our clients will be audited and tallied for the Q1 payment. May 31st : Payment will be sent. In addition, an email will be sent to client with a copy of their quarterly royalty report and a link to a Dropbox folder with copies of their reports from Licensees

DROPBOX Jewel Branding uses Dropbox (Dropbox.com) for secure file sharing with our clients. Every quarter our clients will receive a link to a Dropbox folder via email to share quarterly reporting. All reports received with royalties due more than $100 will be scanned or saved in this Dropbox folder. If you need help using Dropbox, please reach out to Jewel’s Director of Finance.


QUARTERLY ROYALTY REPORT Jewel will provide each client with a quarterly royalty report and payment 60 days after the quarter. The report for each quarter will include a list of payments received for its respective timeline and a total amount paid out to the client. Q1 Report – Due May 31st : All advances and royalty payments received from 2/16 – 5/15 Q2 Report – Due August 31st : All advances and royalty payments received from 5/16 – 8/15 Q3 Report – Due November 30st : All advances and royalty payments received from 9/16 – 11/15 Q4 Report – Due February 28st : All advances and royalty payments received from 11/16 – 2/15
