The Style Guide is to here to assist you through the best practice use of our assets so we can work together to create enchanting products that will delight consumers around the globe. For more than 25 years, we’ve fine-tuned our ways of working to ensure we keep things simple for us and our Licensees. The brand new licensee area of the Rachael Hale website is the home to our inspiration gallery, brand elements and keyword-optimized image library. Not only is it easier to find what you’re looking for but you can explore design-ready ideas to be both inspired and understand the breadth of the Rachael Hale brand.

approval process 1. submit Licensee submits low-resolution concept as jpeg or pdf for approval at wendy@jewelbranding.com. Please include the following: a) image number b) dimensions of product and image (flat artwork showing dieline and bleed) c) pantone color reference (if there is a background color change) d) file type (rgb or cmyk) e) file format (tiff, pdf, psd, jpg, ai.) Look at our guidelines to check logo and copyright information is in the right place

2. review Low-resolution concept reviewed by us

COPYRIGHT INFORMATION UNDER LOGO The Rachael Hale® or TM logo with strapline should be centre aligned with minimum clearance area. Proportion and clearance area shown are for guidance purposes only. The transparency value should be at its most extreme value (70%) black for greatest legibility.

Main copy should be set 70% black in Avenir Light, centre aligned, sized 6pt on 8pt leading. NOTE: point sizes for online use should be increased to a minimum of 11 pixels.

Where space is an issue please use

The year changes based on the year of publication or manufacture.

The Rachael Hale® website should be set 75% black in Avenir 65 Medium, centre aligned, sized 6pt on 8pt leading.

We recommend a minimum size of 33mm for the logo with strapline and 24mm for the logo without the strapline. Minimum size 33mm

Please allow as much clear space around the logo as possible especially when using elements and patterns.

LOGO USE ON LICENSED IMAGES

When the logo is used on an image it must appear as a transparency. The amount of transparency is determined by the tone of the background. The darker the background the more transparency the logo needs. We love the logo placed at the bottom right corner.

Dark background: Logo at 40% transparency.

Medium background: Logo at 70% transparency.

LOGO USE ON PRODUCT, LABELS AND PACKAGING

The example below shows our logo on the front of product and our logo (with strapline and copyright information) on the back.

images IMAGES FOR CREATING CONCEPTS

Low-resolution files for creating concepts can be found on our website under Resources > Image Gallery. High-resolution files will be created from the low-resolution concepts once your concepts are approved by us.

IMAGE CHANGES

All changes are done by us and we are happy to consider any changes.

IMAGE COLOR CHANGES

All color changes are done by us. If changing the background color please forward the PMS color number you would like the background changed to.

IMAGE EXTENSIONS

All images needing extending are done by us. Please forward the flat artwork with the image applied. Please indicate where the extension is required and including the dimensions of the artwork always helps.

IMAGE CROPPING

If using the full image, please avoid cropping off ears and paws. We can always extend an image to allow more background for you to work with.

elements We have a range of elements for use on product. Elements can be reproduced in any color complementary to the image. The full element range can be downloaded from Resources > Elements.

patterns We have a range of patterns for use on product. Patterns can be reproduced in any color complementary to the design. The full pattern range can be downloaded from Resources > Patterns.

get inspired! Our Inspiration section has been created to show the breadth of our brand and showcase our favorite picks for the current season. Inspiration concepts can be downloaded from Get Inspired and check out Our Picks to view Kitten, Puppy and Seasonal images.

color settings All images come embedded with an ICC profile: Adobe RGB 1998 for RGB images FOGRA39 for CMYK images DO NOT DISCARD THIS PROFILE Color Settings in Photoshop, Illustrator or other graphics programs should be setup to warn if your working color space is different from the embedded profile. For Adobe programs go to: Edit > Color Settings When saving images make sure that the profile remains embedded: File > Save As

Please edit images in the embedded color space or convert to your preferred color space appropriately.

To convert images to your preferred color space, please follow the instructions in Photoshop: Edit > Convert to Profile
