What if we told you there was a way to make ice cream without the dairy, without the sugar, without the heavy ice cream equipment, without all the additives, and it wouldn’t taste like cardboard? Would you believe it? We almost couldn’t either, until we tried it!

ICE CREAM BASE

1 can full fat coconut milk 6 frozen bananas

Place both ingredients in food processor or high speed blender and pulse until well combined. For different variations add other fruits at this point and pulse just a few times more. Serve immediately as a soft serve or place in freezer 30 minutes up to two hours for a scoop-able texture.

*Do not place in freezer overnight, it will become too hard. This is meant to be made and enjoyed right away!

Vanilla Bean

Slice one vanilla bean pod in half and scrap out seeds into base. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract.

Cherry Garcia

Add 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips and fresh or frozen dark sweet cherries to base.

Wild Berry

Add 1/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries and 1/4 cup fresh or frozen blackberries to base.

TIP: Don’t throw those spotted bananas out! Cut into large chunks and toss into a freezer storage bag. Always keep a bag in your freezer for an on demand healthy ice cream treat!
