Shalom Naples!

BBYO Naples just had a great month, starting off with a bang at the Everblades preseason game!

We hosted a parent night at the Bell’s home (thank you, Bell’s!) that included apple cider around the fire while current teens, alums and staff spoke about their experience in BBYO. If you missed the parent night and would like to learn more about BBYO, do not hesitate to reach out to us at nfr@bbyo.org.

Naples and Fort Myers teens joined teens from throughout the state for Fall Convention, Nov. 12-14. Teens from all over the state gathered in central Florida for a weekend of fun and friendship, community service, Israel education/activism, Jewish enrichment, and more. This was the first overnight convention in two years! All teens attending the convention were required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

This month, BBYO Naples is gathering at Temple Shalom on Sunday, Dec. 12 to celebrate its 10th year by honoring past and present Naples BBYO Hall of Fame inductees and installing BBYO Naples spring term boards.

BBYO Naples gathers on most Wednesdays for chapter programming, location to be determined. All 8th- through 12th-grade Jewish teens in Southwest Florida are invited and encouraged to attend our programming. To learn about more upcoming programming in Naples, email nfr@bbyo. org. We look forward to hearing from you!

I’d also like to invite the community to consider donating to our BBYO Naples endowment fund. We have commitments thus far of over $100,000 against our goal of $300,000. Donors can make a cash contribution or a legacy gift. Funds are held by the TOP Jewish Foundation, and all are used to support our local program. Anyone interested can contact Marc Saperstein at 239-273-7936 or Samantha Sisisky at ssisisky@bbyo.org.
