JFCS hosts evening of awareness March 6 By Jewish Family & Community Services

Jewish Family & Community Services hosts You Can Count on Us, an evening dedicated to raising awareness for the charitable work that JFCS provides to the community. Honorary chairs for the evening include Linda and Laurie DuBow, and J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver. JFCS has three goals for the evening:

to teach the community more about its programs; to get everyone excited about the road leading to its 100th year of work in Jacksonville; and to provide an atmosphere for the community to engage, connect and share their enthusiasm for JFCS. “We’ve always been so focused on providing the highest quality service to our clients. This event is an opportunity to tell our stories, show what we do, and get the

community excited about supporting that mission,” says Executive Director Colleen Rodriguez. “It’s about building friends in the community who share our zeal for helping people help themselves.” The event, put together by a talented group of volunteers, is arranging a multisensory interactive experience combining film, art and installations. Jerusalem: At the beginning of our trip, we all traveled to Jerusalem, and my favorite part of that overnight trip was the bonding that we all did while staying in the youth hostel. Since it was only our second night in Israel, it was important that we all got to know each other a little better, which is exactly what we did. 4. The Western Wall: Going to the Wall was a very spiritual and beautiful thing. Seeing all of the women together and praying all at
