W

hen it comes to dining, MSC Cruises really has got it all. Over 140 different recipes are served on board every day across the different restaurants. There is fine dining and excellent service in the main restaurant, casual dining available 20 hours a day in the buffet and speciality dining in the themed restaurants. Themed restaurants include sushi, Tex Mex and Mediterranean fusion. MSC Divina and MSC Preziosa play host to the Galaxy Lounge Restaurant, serving up Mediterranean fusion cuisine with the option of a 7course tasting menu chosen by the chef, allowing you to sample a wide range of dishes from the menu, each complemented by a glass of wine chosen by the Sommelier. The Fantasia class ships also feature the first Eataly restaurants at sea, offering stylish, minimalist dining serving high quality Italian food. All of the pizza, pasta, bread and pastries are made fresh on board daily, along with signature Mediterranean dishes. It isn’t all pizza and pasta though (although MSC Cruises have won awards for the pizza and gelato) as all of the food is inspired by the destinations visited on the cruise. So you could be eating Provençale beef one day and

traditional Spanish tortilla the next. Special dietary requirements including gluten free, vegetarian and kosher are also catered for. Mealtimes have also been taken care of for the little ones as the main restaurants offer children’s menus created with the help of the Osservatorio Chicco Baby Research Centre in Italy and cater for a variety of allergies and other special dietary needs. Special children’s selections are always available for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main restaurants, including a dedicated menu for6 to 12-month olds. Tasty and healthy dishes are also available at the dedicated Kids’ Corner in the buffet with a height restrictor to keep parents out! Happy Dinners allow children to dine with you before being escorted back to the Mini and Juniors Club to play while you enjoy the rest of your meal. Alternatively, Fun Time Dinners allow you to drop your children off at the Mini and Juniors Club on your way to dinner where the Youth Staff will keep them entertained while they enjoy a meal with their new friends in the Kid’s Corner of the buffet. Room Service is available 24-hours a day so why not enjoy breakfast on your own private balcony as you watch the world go by.

SC Cruises are back! MSC Splendida will operate six sailings from Southampton, including a round-Britain itinerary and a continental coast cruise. MSC Splendida is one of MSC Cruises’ biggest Fantasia class ships and home to the luxurious MSC Yacht Club, a ship-withina-ship concept offering 24-hour Butler and Concierge service. The Continental Coast Cruise allows you to visit some of the most iconic cities in Europe with calls into Bruges, Amsterdam and Hamburg. There is also a stop in Le Havre offering easy access to Paris. The fairytale city of Bruges offers hours of exploring around its Medieval cobbled streets, photogenic market squares and

dreamy canals. One of our excursions even offers a beer-tasting session of some of the 450 different types of beers available in Belgium. Cheers! Next stop on the cruise is the cosmopolitan city of Amsterdam and world-famous tourist sites such as the Anne Frank Huis, where Anne and her family lived in hiding during the Second World War. The Van Gogh Museum, with its vast collection of paintings by Van Gogh hosted in a purposely built modern gallery, and the Rijksmuseum, with its extraordinary collection of paintings by Rembrandt are also not to be missed. After leaving Amsterdam it’s on to Hamburg, Germany’s second-largest city. Hamburg’s maritime heritage is present all over

the city, from the architecture of the buildings to the menus in the many multicultural restaurants. Our handy ‘Hamburg Highlights’ tour includes visits to the famous Reeoerbahn red-light district, St Michaelis Church and the Krameramtsgasse district, originating from the 17th century. After leaving Hamburg, MSC Splendida heads to Le Havre with the opportunity to visit some of France’s most famous places. Shore excursions include a sightseeing trip to Paris taking in landmarks such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Élysées; a trip to Rouen, the historical capital of Normandy, and even a day out to the unique island setting of Mont Saint Michel.
