Connections
Life can be very difficult for the scattered descendants of the “Lost Tribes of Israel.” Most are terribly poor, with little or no access to even the basic essentials of life. But you can make a difference for these suffering sons and daughters of Abraham. And with Passover around the corner, there is no better time. As we celebrate God’s deliverance of ancient Israel and the freedom that Yeshua (Jesus), our Passover Lamb, purchased for us with His blood, you can give hope to suffering Jewish people around the world. Your gift will help provide life-saving humanitarian aid. This includes medical, dental and eye care, as well as clean water and more. But, most important, you will share the Good News that Jesus, their Messiah, has come to deliver them from the curse of sin and death. Please help today. For some, tomorrow may be too late. Thank you!

Her swollen right eye bulged grotesquely from its socket. It was bloody, brown with rot and crusted over with ugly scabs. For months, perhaps years, this little girl and her family had suffered. Hannah’s eyesight had slowly been stolen

This Passover season, your gift will help share the Good News with Jewish people in desperate need! Hannah’s story (Continued from front)
This is what your support makes possible!
Hannah’s mother had used to conceal her daughter’s hideous affliction. “I could tell she was fighting for her daughter’s life,” Emily recalls.
Your support of Jewish Voice is having a tremendous impact among the Beta Israel and Yibir Jewish communities in Ethiopia. During our two most recent Outreaches in Alamata and Jijiga, your support enabled:
Only that kind of desperation would have compelled her to come to the Clinic, and to wait all day long in the humid, dusty heat. The situation was every bit as desperate as Hannah’s mother feared. “Without intervention, the little girl would have become septic from infection and possibly died,” Emily says. Surgically removing the eye was the only option if her life was to be saved.
You gave Hannah’s family a reason to hope The surgery she needed was more complex than what can be done in one of our Clinics. But, enabled by your support, Jewish Voice arranged to have Hannah transported to a hospital in Addis Ababa, where doctors successfully removed her diseased eye. Your generosity also made it possible to cover the full cost of Hannah’s operation.
• Treatment for 2,104 patients at our Dental Clinics • Eyeglasses for 3,177 patients at our Eye Clinics • 280 eye surgeries • 85 surgeries for other medical conditions

You open doors to share the Good News By Jonathan Bernis
He rescued His people, the ancient Israelites, from slavery in Egypt. He freed you and me from a bondage far worse. Yeshua (Jesus) was our Passover Lamb. His blood bought our freedom from the curse of sin, sickness and death. In Ethiopia, and wherever we serve Jewish people and their neighbors, He is changing hearts and lives today. The Gospel is what compels our work. Medical Outreaches and other humanitarian work are very important, but they’re not the main thing.

With Passover just a few days away, I can’t help but be encouraged because God still does miracles of deliverance.

To THANK YOU for your gift today!
For centuries, the prayer shawl, or tallit (tah-LEET), has been a part of Jewish worship. These beautiful prayer shawls are handmade by weavers from among the Beta Israel of Ethiopia – in some of the very communities where your support is at work. Each colorful garment is carefully crafted to be a reminder to cherish and keep the Lord’s commandments, as instructed in the book of Numbers. Your prayer shawl will also be a powerful reminder of the lives you’ve helped transform.
Your generosity provides life-changing care to people who have little or no access to doctors or hospitals. But most important, you share the Good News of God’s love for His chosen people.
But the best news of all is that Hannah was just one of 16,576 men, women and children you helped reach during the recent Jewish Voice Medical Outreaches in Alamata and Jijiga, Ethiopia.

with God’s chosen people that He has not forgotten them. These things open doors to tell the nations that there is grace and healing in the arms of the God of Israel. And you make all this possible, through your faithful, often sacrificial, partnership. Thank you so much for all you do. And thank you for allowing me into your home to share insights into God’s Word from a distinctly Jewish point of view. These next few weeks, we’ll be exploring the rich meaning that Passover holds – not just for God’s chosen people, but for all who claim Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah.
