December 2011
From the heart of
Jonathan Bernis Greetings and shalom, dear friends, As you have read this 2011 Ministry Outreach Report, I am sure your heart rejoiced with mine at the amazing way God has blessed our efforts during the past year. But I also want to remind you that these wonderful and effective outreaches are just a portion of our work. We continue to work to educate the Church and its leaders about the Jewish roots of our faith and how they can effectively minister to Jewish People. We provide resources that deal with the end-times, Bible studies and materials that explain the truths of the Word of God. In addition, of course, we produce and air powerful and life-changing media for television and the Internet…The list goes on and on… With deep gratitude, we never forget that it is YOUR prayers and financial support that make all of this possible. Thank you so much for standing with us during the past year. Truly you have had a great part in the harvest. We are confidently praying, planning and believing that the best is yet to come! God has already opened wonderful doors for us in 2012, including a medical clinic outreach to a new “Lost Tribe,” the Lemba in Zimbabwe; what will be our largest “Hear O’ Israel Festival” in many years to be held in Mexico City, AND the launch of our major media evangelistic outreach in the United States. While we are so grateful for your generous help in 2011, I’m asking that you consider increasing your support in 2012, so that together we can do His work while there is yet time. Please also pray about making a significant financial investment right now. I don’t ask for myself, but for the multitudes that we can reach as we take full advantage of these wonderful opportunities. And please continue to pray for our entire ministry team: for His grace and protection. May God’s blessing cover your life now and for the coming year! To the Jew first and also to the Nations, Jonathan Bernis, President & CEO Jewish Voice Ministries International

At this time of year when families gather and share stories of the past year, the JVMI family got together and reflected on 2011. We are amazed at all that God has done, and we look to the future with expectation for what 2012 will bring. We will continue to build…we will continue to grow.

2011 Outreaches
Be Still and Know Our Gondar Prayer Room Coordinator, Ronna Cohen, rushed to the side of this Gondar man (seen below) who was having a seizure in the triage area of our medical clinic. With two other intercessors, these prayer warriors prayed for his salvation, total deliverance from epilepsy, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. After more than an hour, the man stopped shaking and was full of the joy of the Lord. His epilepsy was gone and he found Yeshua as his Messiah!

Gondar Boy’s Miracle Moment
Blessing an Ethiopian Pauper . . . Again
2010
Dental Asmoro, a 13-year-old Gondar teen who earns a mere 4-6 birr (25 cents) a day as a day laborer to support himself and his mother, patiently waited for our Jewish Voice team to attend to an abscessed tooth that was causing him constant pain. We not only provided him with free life-saving oral surgery, but we also gave him free medicine, vitamins, a toothbrush and toothpaste, two blankets, a pair of pants, a couple of new T-shirts, an audio Bible in Amharic, the language of Ethiopia, and a chance to pray with one of our volunteer intercessors.
In 2010 when we first met Banchihum, a 50-year-old Ethiopian beggar woman who had suffered with painful elephantiasis for three years, her legs were twice their normal size and her feet were severely bloated. Prayer and medical treatment greatly helped her condition. When we returned to Gondar in late September this year, we soon discovered God had done a miracle for her again! The remaining swelling in her legs was drastically reduced, and one of our volunteer pediatricians, recognizing a dire need for footwear, gave Banchihum the shoes off her feet as a way to bless this poor Ethiopian woman.
Eyes Seeing Double Imagine being blind because of cataracts. That was the story of 62-year-old Fatim of Gondar, Ethiopia. After volunteer ophthalmologist Dr. Doug Rampona performed surgery to remove the cataract from just one of her eyes, Fatim could see her hands for the first time in 15 years. She was so excited she kissed him. Jewish Voice was able to perform the cataract surgery on her second eye. Now she sees clearly!
