A research project about bikeability in a cycle route towards Osthavnen Aalborg. Aalborg is a city where cycling is practiced however not increasing day by day. This is in a way related to the infrastructure between inner city and East Harbour area which overall has a weak connection in means of cycling infrastructure. We have studied the cycling superhighways from a multisensorial perspective and developed a route in order to enhance the experience of cyclists who commute to the harbour and the city, challenging the one planned by the municipality. Analysis has been conducted in terms of soundscapes, smellscapes, visualscapes, surfaces and accessibility as well as a Lynchian analysis. Furthermore, proposals for a better experience of cyclists throughout the route has been developed and made twelve spot-analyses.
*A project in collaboration with Giovani Bicego, Merve Ozhan and Krzysztof Janko.
