Building Confidence. Building Connection. Building Community.
18
is a truly special number for the Jewish people…and for teen travel programs at the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. Federation has been sending teens to live, work, play and experience Israel and Jewish Peoplehood in a way that touches their hearts – and minds – for eighteen years. Over the years, we have established a proven track record of success. Lives have been transformed, and Jewish identities built and strengthened. As a result of Federation’s efforts and support, our young adults have a greater connection to Israel and stronger commitment to the Jewish community. These journeys of self-discovery bring teens together with their Israeli peers in social, educational, athletic and cultural activities. Memories that last a lifetime and relationships that deepen into adulthood are realized. Program participants engage in service-learning activities that instill a commitment to volunteerism and self-confidence,

and build civic-minded individuals who return home ready, willing and able to help others. The carefully crafted program of Bonim Chaim helps our teens understand that we are all a part of Am Yisrael (the People of Israel), connected to each other through our common roots, values, history and rituals. They know what unites us as a people. Bottom line: These trips change lives. Research proves that immersive experiences have long-term impact. When you see, feel and taste something as powerful as Israel with your peers, it can stay with you forever, often acting as a catalyst for greater involvement in the Jewish community. This is an experience not to be missed. Please join us during our 19th year of travel! B’Shalom,

Bonim Chaim
,
the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County’s three-week-long teen mission trip to Israel, combines learning, education, social action and community service. During mifgash week in our partnered TZAHAR Region (comprised of the cities of Tzfat, Hatzor Haglilit and Rosh Pina), teens live with their Israeli peers, creating relationships and building bonds that last a lifetime. A hands-on, in-depth discovery of Israel – from the bustling metropolis of Tel Aviv to the ancient streets of Jerusalem – await teens during this adventure. Bonim Chaim participants will receive up to 100 community service hours upon
the successful completion of the program. Preparations begin in the spring, and follow-up activities are planned throughout the year to stay involved with the Jewish community when they return to the greater Palm Beaches.
