green structures back and from planning to5 of planting East coast elevation. Current-condition development in year the project. | master final project dir. Bruno de Meulder- Henry Bava- Christian Nolf KULeuven | 2013
The primary idea of the XL scale green city is how the green (vegetal) structures and the aquacultural (farming) production in the territory can be used to help to structure the modernization processin order to achieve a more resilient CĂ Mau (Vietnam), able to face the imminent sea level rise ensuring food security and livability in the whole region. Mangroves play a key role in coastal protection against extreme natural and climatic conditions. At the same time, Melaleuca cajaputi is a native species that grows in the south of Vietnam; it used to be very common in the whole Vietnam peninsula but with scarce presence at the present time in form of few patches, mainly as a forest reserve. The project is designed as an utilization strategy of endagered flora species in order to guarantee their survival with all the environmental services.

public library | bachelor final project dir. Jaime Cรกrdenas universidad del valle | 2001 A public library is not only a space to keep the general knowledge to be consulted by people of the community, it is also a public building of urban value and a milestone for the community which is served. This is how this project must meet certain aesthetic semantic features which conveys to the city that it is a public project designed to serve the common. The project is developed following two different geometries, the geometry of the site (plot) and the geometry of the sunlight. Inside, several public uses are developed following a typical program for the uses of a public library. Outside, the square works as a linking element.
