About the Speaker

Lori Lipten Lori Lipten is an international best-selling author, world-renowned shamanic medium, and empowering retreat leader and teacher. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical and Humanistic Psychology and is the founder of Sacred Balance Academy & Healing Center; the Intuitive Practitioners Certification Program™: Inspired Heart™ Retreats & Programs and a variety of healing methods and workshops all designed to assist others in living a divinely attuned, soulful life while realizing their fullest potential. When Lori was eight years of age, she innocently announced to her third grade class: “I returned to the earth to teach the world to love more”. Lori’s compassionate intention is woven into everything she offers.

During all of her events, Lori surrenders herself fully to the Divine, to bring compassionate healing methods, tools, insights and messages fom the world of Divine Spirit to uplift, heal, empower and inspire all present. Lori works closely with Divine helping spirits – Angels, Master Guides, Saints and Sages from Spirit and loved ones, when appropriate. Her down-toearth style is complemented by her humor and compassionate wisdom.

Since 1928, Jewish Family Service has touched the lives of thousands of people. Today, the non-sectarian non-profit health and social services organization continues to help those facing life’s challenges.

Each year, more than 15,000 people of all ages, religions and socioeconomic backgrounds are served through a variety of programs centered around older adults, mental health and wellness, and safety net services.

One of the largest populations JFS serves is older adults. Whether it is providing door-through-door transportation to critical medical appointments, financial assistance for utility shut-offs, emergency housing or food assistance, the agency works to ensure the dignity and safety of the most vulnerable in the community.

Mind University

JFS’s cognitive wellness initiative brings the latest research in brain health to the Metro-Detroit community through monthly brain health workshops and ongoing cognitive training classes.

Health Coaching Knowing what to do to take care of your health and actually doing it are two different things! JFS’s trained health coaches help you set realistic goals and then provide motivation, support and accountability to help you achieve them.
