The Goldcoast Sunwear brand was created and established in 1991. The brand filled the need for high functionality headwear with increased benefits and a primary focus on sun protection. It has evolved into a value priced, high quality line that appeals to anyone working, playing, or enjoying the outdoors.
Many of the hats include special features and benefits we have developed and introduced over the years. We offer the highest classification of sun protection with our UPF 50+ tested and certified styles. We created crushable and packable materials for easy travel, adjustable sizing features, water repellent fabrics, re-enforced seams to help prevent fraying, and shapeable wire brims. These hats are the highest quality materials sourced from around the world. Extra attention is placed on craftsmanship and we continue to focus our efforts to provide the best value in sun protective headwear.

Goldcoast straw hats are produced from an Asian Seagrass. This natural material is one of the most pliable and strongest fibers available worldwide. The grass is harvested and woven into bodies (hoods) for hats. The quality can vary widely. Our quality control team in Asia sorts through the woven bodies and chooses triple AAA quality ONLY. Triple AAA quality means the tightest weave with the least amount of blemishes. This produces a stronger and more attractive finished product. All shipments are deemed to have been received, accepted in good condition, and as described on the shipping documents unless we are notified within seven calendar days of delivery of any shortages, damages, and/or substitutions not in accordance with the order. Wholesale returns are only accepted without penalty in the case of a manufacturer defect or mis-shipment. All product must have been purchased directly from us to be eligible.
All other returns must be shipped prepaid at your expense. Returns must be issued a return authorization number (RA#) by Customer Service prior to shipment and this number must be visible on each returned carton. Returns received without a return authorization are subject to a 15% restocking fee. All items should be returned within 14 calendar days after issue of the authorization number. Credit will be issued upon receipt and inspection of merchandise for the original purchase price. Shipping and handling charges are excluded from the original price.
To be accepted for return, items must be in salable condition and with original tags attached. All items are inspected by our warehouse personnel. If your returned item(s) appear to be worn, soiled, or damaged in any way that renders the item(s) not resalable, you will be notified and a credit will not be issued.
You can request a return authorization number by emailing us at customerservice@petergrimm.com. You will need to provide the following information: order number, style name/number, quantity, reason for return, contact phone number, and email address. Please allow 1-2 business days for a response.
Minimum Order
$250. For smaller orders, a fee of $30 will be added.
Backorder Minimum
Backorders with a minimum of 6 pieces will automatically ship. If after your original order ships and there are less than 6 pieces, we will notify you. If you do not want your backorder, please advise when you place your original order.
Rush/Same Day Shipment
In the event you require your order to be shipped the same day it is submitted, your order must be submitted by 12:00 noon PST and a $50 service charge will be added to your order.
Custom Orders
For anything not in our current line, the minimum order quantity is 600 pieces per style, per color. A 50% deposit is also required on all custom production. This deposit can be waived or reduced under some circumstances.
Terms
All orders shall be paid by credit card or other means prior to shipment of goods, unless the customer has been approved for net terms, in which case the customer shall pay within the time limit of such approved terms. A finance charge will be added daily to any unpaid balance on past due amounts at an APR of 18%. Purchase Orders may be refused if the customer is in default of payment terms. All orders are subject to shipping and handling charges. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Typographical Errors
In the event there are any mistakes in our printed catalog or in an electronic version, Peter Grimm Ltd. reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed incorrectly. Peter Grimm Ltd. reserves the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, Peter Grimm Ltd. shall issue a credit to your credit card account.
