GRATITUDE: Be Genuinely Than Call each client and Center of Influence to thank them simply for their relationship. Follow up with a personalized note of thanks for allowing you to serve them. Gratitude opens the door for more relationships, as studies show that thanking a new acquaintance makes them more likely to seek an ongoing relationship.

Gratitude can improve physical and psychological health.

Grateful people are more likely to take care of their health, exercise more often, and report feeling healthier than other people do. People who express their thanks are more likely to behave in a pro-social manner, even when others are anti-social. They experience more sensitivity and empathy toward other people and even when given negative feedback, are less likely to desire revenge, or think negatively about others. This positive approach leads to feelings of higher self-esteem among the grateful.

In business, social situations, and life in general, selfesteem is an essential component of optimal performance.

Gratitude can reduce social competitiveness and comparisons, allowing individuals to focus on what they can do better, and to appreciate and respect the accomplishments of others.

Better feelings leads to better sleep. According to a 2011 study, individuals who spent 15 minutes considering about how they were grateful experienced better, longer sleep patterns. Gratitude not only reduces stress, but increases mental strength and resilience. A study from 2003 found that individuals identified gratitude as a major contributing factor to emotional well-being after the events of September 11, 2001.

We all have the capacity for gratitude, and we all have the capacity to believe in ourselves and believe in a dream.

Commit to setting big goals and create a compelling vision for your future. Develop a plan and work diligently every day to take the next step, focusing on incremental improvement.

SERVPROÂŽ of Danbury/Ridgefield was so honored to be invited to The New Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department 4th Annual Holiday Light Parade on Saturday, November 28, 2016. We enjoyed the opportunity and our little friend Jack Leavy and his mom, Laurie, were so excited to be a part of the festivities. We could not believe the turnout of people, and it definitely got us off to a great start of spreading holiday cheer this season!

The 11th Annual Toys for Tots toy drive and holiday party was a huge success, with over 750 toys and over $5,000 in cash donations.

The Annual Toys for Tots is sure to bring a smile to hundreds of children’s faces who might not have a Christmas if it were not for the generosity of others.

This wonderful event would not be the success it is without all of the local businesses supporting the event; like SERVPROÂŽ of Danbury/Ridgefield, who contributed a large donation, the restaurants catering the food, and the retailers donating raffle prizes and cash. We give them a Big Thank You. Please take note of the names listed on the poster, and support these folks!
