GRATITUDE: Be Genuinely Than Call each client and Center of Influence to thank them simply for their relationship. Follow up with a personalized note of thanks for allowing you to serve them. Gratitude opens the door for more relationships, as studies show that thanking a new acquaintance makes them more likely to seek an ongoing relationship. Gratitude can improve physical and psychological health. Grateful people are more likely to take care of their health, exercise more often, and report feeling healthier than other people do. People who express their thanks are more likely to behave in a pro-social manner, even when others are anti-social. They experience more sensitivity and empathy toward other people and even when given negative feedback, are less likely to desire revenge, or think negatively about others. This positive approach leads to feelings of higher self-esteem among the grateful. In business, social situations, and life in general, selfesteem is an essential component of optimal performance. Gratitude can reduce social competitiveness and comparisons, allowing individuals to focus on what they can do better, and to appreciate and respect the accomplishments of others. Better feelings leads to better sleep. According to a 2011 study, individuals who spent 15 minutes considering about how they were grateful experienced better, longer sleep patterns. Gratitude not only reduces stress, but increases mental strength and resilience. A study from 2003 found that individuals identified gratitude as a major contributing factor to emotional well-being after the events of September 11, 2001. We all have the capacity for gratitude, and we all have the capacity to believe in ourselves and believe in a dream. Commit to setting big goals and create a compelling vision for your future. Develop a plan and work diligently every day to take the next step, focusing on incremental improvement. The concept of the big goal will facilitate daily goals. nkful for your Customers and Clients. Setting goals, working toward them with daily tasks, and seeing long-term goals and dreams become a reality is one reason to be grateful. In this gratitude, we should be able to recognize that all the small goals, daily tasks, and satisfied customers are what lead to making dreams come true. Be thankful for your customers, employees, centers of influence and business partners. Believe in yourself and believe in your dreams. Spend some time each day finding and expressing gratitude, find the positive in a tough situation, and accomplish reasonable goals. Being a positive person that effects change does not require hours of effort, but it does require consistent effort.

Faust Success is not what you leave to but what you leave behind John Maxwell Transparency, honesty, kindness, good stewardship, even humor, works in businesses at all times. Companies have to be innovative in leading with values the same way they have to be innovative in their products and services. John Gerzema Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation. Step with care and great tact, and remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act. Dr. Seuss Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible. Tony Robbins The vision must be followed by the venture. It is not enough to stare up the steps - we must step up the stairs. Vance Havner Read my letter to the old folks, and give my love to them, and tell my brothers to be always watching unto prayer, and when the good old ship of Zion comes along, to be ready to step aboard. Harriet Tubman You just don’t luck into things as much as you’d like to think you do. You build step by step, whether it’s friendships or opportunities. Barbara Bush Have a bias toward action - let’s see something happen now. You can break that big plan into small steps and take the first step right away. Indira Gandhi An individual step in character training is to put responsibility on the individual. Robert Baden-Powell One may walk over the highest mountain one step at a time. Barbara Walters You cannot step into the same river twice. Heraclitus You learn a lot when you’re barefoot. The first thing is every step you take is different. Michael Franti Finance is critical. If sufficient investment is made in infrastructure and venture capital is made available, there will be a big improvement in the situation. Sanjay Kumar Ask yourself: was there anything I could have done to prevent the situation? If the answer is yes, do something now and become a better person for it. Dave Pelzer Entrepreneurs almost always have to step out of existing institutions that embody old ways of doing things to build their vision. From: Rick DuBois Sent: Friday, December 09, 2016 3:37 PM To: John Blehl All, I know there are great stories about the real Heroes that our Franchises are, this one needed to be shared. John, thank you again, for representing SERVPRO, in such a kind and compassionate way. You make my job easy when I can brag about teams like yours. -Rick Rick DuBois SERVPRO Industries, Inc. National Accounts Manager From: D. M. Thall Sent: Friday, December 09, 2016 11:46 AM To: Rick DuBois Rick, I thought I would pass along some great feedback about one of your franchises below. G. Marsh from Vey Adjustment has noted the Servpro in Dover/Stillwater are great to work with and also very generous. PMIC as well as our adjuster appreciate the good work done by Servpro for our mutual customers. Dan From: GMarsh Sent: Thursday, December 08, 2016 9:45 AM To: Daniel M. Thall; John Blehl Thanks Dan. Servpro of Dover/Stillwater should be commended as well. They actually provided the insured service free- she is not financially able to meet her deductible so they absorbed $500 of their bill. It is nice to have partners in this business like them. The Servpros are only as good as their franchise owner and I chose to work with those that are caring, compassionate and responsive as well as knowing their business. This franchise is one of them. Just wanted them to get the thanks they are due because they deserve it. G. Marsh Vey Adjustment From: Daniel M. Thall Sent: Thursday, December 08, 2016 8:21 AM G‌, Please see the attached ‌ We know these notes are often hard to come by. I know you do a great job for us every day and it was great to see this insured recognize your assistance. Our tagline at PMIC is Live Assured. It is obvious that you helped this insured Live Assured!! Thank you so much for continuing to represent us so well!! Dan Property Claims Manager

SERVPROÂŽ of Danbury/Ridgefield was so honored to be invited to The New Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department 4th Annual Holiday Light Parade on Saturday, November 28, 2016. We enjoyed the opportunity and our little friend Jack Leavy and his mom, Laurie, were so excited to be a part of the festivities. We could not believe the turnout of people, and it definitely got us off to a great start of spreading holiday cheer this season!

The 11th Annual Toys for Tots toy drive and holiday party was a huge success, with over 750 toys and over $5,000 in cash donations. The Annual Toys for Tots is sure to bring a smile to hundreds of children’s faces who might not have a Christmas if it were not for the generosity of others. This wonderful event would not be the success it is without all of the local businesses supporting the event; like SERVPROŽ of Danbury/Ridgefield, who contributed a large donation, the restaurants catering the food, and the retailers donating raffle prizes and cash. We give them a Big Thank You. Please take note of the names listed on the poster, and support these folks!

Calvin & Lori, Santa, Nancy & Scott Yoran and the USMC Reserves

Additionally, to the USMC Reserves, we thank you for ALL you do, both here and abroad! Lastly, to the team of people who plan, set up, collect, and break down for the event, all for the Toys for Tots cause, we sincerely appreciate and thank you.

Wishing you the Happiest of Holidays and a Merry Christmas everyone!!!
