New York FASHION WEEK Fall 2012

This February, OPI was at it again, accompanying the hottest fall fashion down the runway at New York Fashion Week. Bold, neutral and dark nails accented embellished dresses, furs and colorblock frocks from top designers. Max Azria chose the Soft Shade Passion as a subtle complement to his BCBG and Herve Leger collections, while models for Rebecca Taylor wore the rich navy, Road House Blues. Across town from Lincoln Center, the catwalk of Jason Wu saw military-inspired pieces paired with San Tan-Tonio; and for the first time, OPI provided nails in the vibrant A Good Man-Darin is Hard to Find for Lauren Moffatt’s classroom setting presentation of her school girl-inspired fashion.

International Beauty Supplies, OPI's Distributor in Australia, recently launched the Touring America Collection at a historical and well-known post office (which was re-named 'OPI Post' for the event). Journalists were invited to the event through a series of postcards, inviting them to 'Pack Their Bags.'

Earlier this year, the Women’s Heart Center at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles hosted the sixth annual Wear Red Day (a national campaign to build awareness of women’s heart disease—the leading cause of death for women in the United States). Just like last year, OPI donated bottles of Big Apple Red Nail Lacquer to the 200+ attendees. The event included a group photo (all guests were encouraged to wear red!), cardiac risk assessment screenings, and a presentation in Harvey Morse Auditorium.

….The truth is, she recently visited Buenos Aires, Argentina! While there, OPI International Spokesperson Joey Brown hosted an in-house training session at the corporate office of OPI Argentina Distributor Prestige Marketing SRL to introduce OPI GelColor and review the Axxium Soak-Off Gel Lacquer System. "We are extremely pleased with Joey Brown’s visit," said J. Carlos S. Ramirez, director of Prestige Marketing, SRL. "We really hope for her to come back any time!"

Transcontinental globetrotter and OPI International Spokesperson Joey Brown recently traveled to Australia and New Zealand to host a series of GelColor workshops. Her first stop was Australia, where she spent time in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. In each city, Brown hosted two 3-hour GelColor training sessions to approximately 50 attendees. "This program was a lot of fun because the 3-hour presentations were so interactive," said Brown. Her second stop was in Auckland, New Zealand, where she teamed up with Sales/ Marketing Manager Terri Grace and General Manager Jason Grace to present OPI’s Holland Collection and Nicki Minaj Collection to more than 40 journalists and editors. All participants were treated to mini-manicures and hors d’oeuvres. "It was a beautiful event," said Brown, "and everyone loved working with OPI's new GelColor product!"
