Corte Bella Golf Club News & Notes
Keith Kalny, PGA General Manager
This is the time of year that everyone wants to visit The Valley of the Sun. The frozen tundra of the north certainly provides people with a reason to take off and visit our warm and lovely location. That said, you may be busy entertaining friends and relatives visiting you in Corte Bella. If they are golfers, be sure and come out to enjoy the course. For those of you within the HOA who have reached out with questions, comments, and thoughts about our club and course, thank you. As I said last month, your feedback is important and especially so as I begin my third month at the golf club. I’ve learned a great deal during my short tenure, and I wanted to use this opportunity to call out a few topics to share: • Corte Bella Vets Golf Tournament: The golf club will be hosting an important event on March 19th - The Corte Bella

Vets Tournament. This event supports Arizona veterans and their families. For more information you can contact Dan
Kurtenbach at 301-524-0847 / email: theresadan69@cox.net). • New Apparel Arriving: It’s always fun to wear the Corte
Bella logo, and our golf shop is full of new arrivals. There were delays in shipping, but new gear has arrived for both the ladies and the men. Stop by and visit, and start your
Christmas shopping way too early! One reminder about our golf shop and grill, your HOA charging privileges do not extend to the golf club. • We are always looking: A continuing concern for the golf club (as with most every business linked to the hospitality industry) is staffing. If you know of anyone with service experience or a desire to get involved with the golf club business, please point them our way. We are always looking for friendly people that provide sincere hospitality. • The Golf Course: I’ve received inquiries about palm trees on the course. We will be cleaning them up this summer, and we will be cleaning up all of them, over all 18 holes. We also continue to research solutions for the red rock erosion.
Those efforts will take place in the summer as well. • Accessing the Course: I’m sure most of you know this, but for those who do not, the golf course is for golfers only.
Please do not access the golf course to walk the paths, hit a few practice shots, or allow children to run around on the course. It’s a safety hazard for anyone doing so and a disruption for golfers playing the course. Thanks. Enjoy your March and the wonderful weather. My email is: kkalny@cortebellagolfclub.com.
