Come join the Corte Bella Pickleball Club, and our 261 members, as we play one of the fastest growing sports in America. Pickleball: Fun, social, and friendly. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.

Club Play:

• Member Play for the summer is Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

• Men’s Novice Group plays Monday, Wednesday, and

Friday from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. PB Happy Hour: Many pickleball players recently gathered for a fun Happy Hour of food, drinks, and pickleball trivia. (See photo). What makes pickleball unique? Pickleball is different from other sports because of its unique rules. One of the biggest rules that sets it apart is how to keep score. A team can only get a point when they are serving and after every point, teammates switch spots. To win the game you must score 11 points and be ahead by at least 2. Pickleball members enjoying a Happy Hour event.

Local Pickleball Player Diane Baumgartner of Corte Bella finished 2nd in Mixed Doubles, 2nd in Women’s Doubles Age and Skill, and 3rd in Women’s Doubles Age at the 2022 Minto US OPEN Pickleball Championships in Naples, Florida. Diane’s Mixed Doubles partner was Basketball Hall of Famer, Rick Barry and Women’s Doubles partner Deb Harrison from the Villages in Florida. Nearly 3,000 of the best professional and amateur pickleball players in the world gathered at East Naples Community Park in Naples, Florida from April 23-30 at the 2022 Minto US OPEN Pickleball Championships powered by Margaritaville. And by the time the action concluded on Saturday, nearly 1,000 participants earned US OPEN Championship medals while the other nearly 2,000 players simply had the time of their lives at the “Biggest Pickleball Party in the World™. Diane Baumgartner has been a part-time resident of Corte Bella since 2007 and credits her great play to the Corte Bella Pickleball Club who continues to produce high quality players. Diane has not missed a US Open since its beginning in 2016. The most prestigious event in pickleball was staged from April 23-30 in “The Pickleball Capital of the World,” with a record 2,880 players, a record $100,000 prize purse, and a world-class field of players. Known as the “Biggest Pickleball Party in the World™” for the electric atmosphere that pulsates through the largest permanent pickleball facility in the world with 64 courts, a record 25,000 spectators attended the weeklong competition. The event was streamed live on the Pickleball Channel all week and the women’s pro doubles and mixed doubles finals were broadcast live on CBS Sports Network on April 30 from 7-9 pm. It is easy to learn and fun to play, with a population of athletes coming from a variety of other sports, including tennis, racquetball, ping pong, badminton, and squash.
