About Irene A. Morris
My designs evolved professionally for over 20 years and continue to take a higher dimension of expression. The materials with which I work "suggest" to me new and exciting ways of displaying their natural beauty in my creations. They are my "partners" in growth and change. Color, to me, brings a delight and a life that I embrace in my designs. Beadwork brings that color. MINERALS have been with me all of my life. I have collected them since childhood and when I incorporate MINERALS into my work it gives me a connection to mother earth and the amazing designs that she creates. With WIRE WRAP AND SILVERSMITHING I can visualize a primitive kind of art that allows me the freedom and versatility that I can imagine was done in times past. To me this creation allows the connection with the energy that surrounds us all. I believe that every piece is meant for that special someone and it will find its home.
