2021-22 SOUTHEAST MISSOURI TRACK & FIELD GUIDE OVC CHAMPIONSHIPS
2022 OVC Indoor Track & Field Championship The 2022 OVC Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championship will be held February 23-24 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama. It will mark the third time (2019, 2020) the event has been held at the world class venue. The CrossPlex, which hosted the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championships (and will host the 2022 event as well), houses one of the fastest indoor hydraulic tracks in the world. Due to challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Indoor Championship was not held. The last time it was held (2020), the Eastern Illinois men claimed its 18th OVC Indoor Championship while the Austin Peay women claimed its first championship since 2001.
2022 OVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship The 2022 OVC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship will be held May 11-13 at Roy Stewart Stadium on the campus of Murray State University. Last year the Eastern Illinois men and Southeast Missouri women claimed championships. It marked the second-straight and 18th overall title for the EIU men, while it was the 10th title (and first since 2014) for the SEMO women.
