DESIGN PHILOSOPHIES After several years of exploration, I have formed my own design methods and philosophies. First, I am used to adding the concept of personal narrative thinking after forming a basic concept of the site by analysing the surrounding environment, crowds, traffic and cultural conditions. For example, when designing a hotel, I put forward the concept of "sleep" and integrate the curve of the users’ sleep stage into the design of the building shape and details. In the design of V&A museum in Wuhan, I incorporated the concept of "parallel world" and designed an exhibition hall with parallel flow lines and themes reflecting Chinese and British culture. In addition, I always pursue divergent thinking, jump out of conventional architectural state, and try to find a new solution. Simultaneously, I attach great importance to people’s spatial experience and I hope they can feel the fun brought by the changes and levels of space. Architecture has changed from people's shelter to works of art over the past decades; therefore, my ultimate goal is to contribute to people's wellbeing in the future. I always keep my design philosophies in my mind when doing projects. Taking the first project in my portfolio Invisible City as an example, I proposed the possibility of future sea cities by analyzing the current status of global climate change and experimenting with existing urban lakes. At the same time, I used the description of city fragments in the book Invisible City to define the variability brought about by the operation of the entire city mechanism. On the basis of existing static cities, I put forward the idea of reorganizing urban roads and connecting urban networks with unit buildings, and using the natural power of tidal elevators to change the shape of cities. The difficulty of the project was to formulate the operation rules of the entire city and develop regular selective movements of urban units. Finally, I designed the inner and outer rings so that residents could select how long he stays in the city.

INVISIBLE CITY Urban Design Year 4 Individual work
The invisible city is a city divided into two halves. It never looked clear in the middle of the lake, its undulating shape hidden in the hills, its metallic sheen against the water, the forest and the sky. Many lakes, large and small, are enclosed by city roads, and the interaction between artificial and natural landscape emerges. The cylindrical units are always in motion, on its way to its next destination. The other half of the city stays where it is forever, providing new experiences for every migrant traveler. When they are tired, they reach the land, the undulations of lofty peaks contain all the guarantees of happiness.

Site analysis
BACKGROUND INTRODUCTION As a city with thousands of lakes, Wuhan is an experimental field for inland cities during their transition to maritime cities. The university town and the science park surrounding the east lake make it an exciting place for the innovation and technology industry. The overlap of different function forms around the site also makes Wuhan a rapidly developing city. The new satellite city formed mainly by entrepreneurs from top college graduates can also produce more diverse ideas in this changeable environment and promote the transformation of Wuhan into a first-tier city of science and technology city who is not a coastal city.

The melting of Antarctic glaciers is accelerating as the atmosphere and sea temperatures rise, according to us scientists. If this phenomenon is intensified, it will cause the sea level to significantly. Researchers used lasers to measure the thickness of six Antarctic glaciers in 2002 and found they were melting at twice the rate of the 1990s, with 250 cubic kilometers of ice melting each year, or 60 percent more than their annual snow cover. These glaciers melt into water, causing sea levels to rise by 0.2 millimetres a year. A climate change study, published online December 11, 2019 in the journal nature, shows that Greenland has lost 3.8 trillion tonnes of ice since 1992, resulting in a global sea level rise of 10.6mm. Greenland's ice sheet is melting seven times faster than it did in the 1990s, the authors say. The results show that Greenland's glacier loss rate has risen from 33 gigatonnes per year in the 1990s to 254 gigatonnes per year in the last decade, a seven-fold acceleration in just 30 years. Professor Andrew Shepherd, of the university of Leeds, UK, who co-led the study, said: "the rule of thumb is that for every 1cm rise in global sea level, six million people are at risk of coastal flooding." Even a small amount of melting can damage coastal cities. It is estimated that by the end of the 21st century, 360 million people will experience coastal flooding each year.

BIODIVERSITY AND HUMAN ACTIVITIES The east lake is rich in natural resources, meanwile, the wetland provides a good living environment for wildlife. The average depth of the lake is 3-6 meters, which is suitable for the creation of various Spaces conducive to the development of biodiversity and the harmonious coexistence between human and nature. The invisible city support residents’ life and improves the quality of life by providing residents with a variety of outdoor area to choose from at different times through the reasonable arrangement of terrain, landscape, biological activities and recreational activities. At the same time, the invisible city uses solar, tidal, wind and biological energy to provide the electricity needed for the city. To Pursue the goal of sustainable development and self-sufficiency.

"SOMUNS" Architecture Design Year 3 Individual work
SOMUNS, the god of sleep among the Roman gods, when he flutters his wings, even Zeus cannot escape from his sleep art. It is hoped that this hotel building can realize the interaction with people with its fluttering skin and virtual technology, and provide a good sleep experience for the customers who come here. The dream cave concept is another interpretation of "leukotomy", which aims to establish intermittent connections between the inner and outer worlds and enrich people's spatial experience. In the real historical sites, the new pure land not only becomes a rest stop when people are tired, but also becomes a new landscape for people to visit.

BEHAVIORAL SCHEDULE AND FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIP Taking the 24 hours of a day as the horizontal axis, the functions of thbuilding are arranged according to the height, which generates connections with the outdoor scenery. In addition, the degree of privacy and use of the function is also related to the interior patio design of the building.

CAVE OF DREAMS The hotel located in the center of the city has effective interaction with the outside landscape. Meanwhile, the inner cave uses holographic projection to create a sensory experience completely different from the outside world, which makes the customers feel a strong contrast. The suggestion of psychological anchor points helps to establish beautiful dreams in sleep.

Pavilion of Surging Waves Plan
Based on the plane of Chinese traditional architecture, this research refines and redefines the architectural space under the traditional plane and applies it to the composition of modern architecture.
When architects try to use the ancient aesthetics and the current design logic collision, the thinking almost keeps jumping between the ancient and modern. Thus this research aims to geting rid of the modern architectural pattern and preserving the spatial order of modern architecture, creating a new architectural vocabulary.

After elaborating and designing the small model, the model was enlarged, and the physical model was gradually established from the study of the properties of the material. The design mainly used the chinese mortise and tenon joint technique and the fastening of the knots. It is made totally by hand. Finally, the auxiliary metal connector ensures its stability. The whole pavilion looks like the ears of a fox, thus it was named fox Pavilion. Eventually our results become part of the campus landscape.

A tower model was designed step by step from the small model, and the final inspection standard is the stability and height of the tower. Our team used the variant of the triangle stable structure to design. Although the final effect is not ideal, it has a deeper experience for the force transmission performance of the structure.
