Eudaimonia is a state of being happy, healthy and prosperous. Our vision is enhancing wellness through pathces of nature relifef. Our site locates where the bronx expressway cut the original Crotona Park into two sessions. We want to capping the Bronx Expressway while providing community a new way to engage in waste recycle programs and enhance the chance for them to acess public green spaces. We designed a loop system not olny replace the original waste pick up system but also provide kids and adults a chance to be educated. Besides, we reconnected the Crotona Park through capping and also took advantages of vancant lots around community to creat a constant ecological pattern.

DATE: 01/2021 AREA: 10.5ha LOCATION: KANSAS CITY, UNITED STATES INSTRUCTOR: MITCH J GLASS TYPE: GROUP WORK (ULI COMPETITION) TEAMMATE: XINYUE SHEN, ZIYU ZHAO, JUNCHI FANG, SHAILY PATIL KCNexus aims to create a mix-used community that calls for Kansas city’s future development. It takes advantage of existing green space to break the highway boundary and build a new diagonal street to link the most unique and important points outside our community. This diagonal street and transportation strategy enable more citizens to come to join our community to enjoy the city’s cultural assets and learn about its rich history. This mix-used community ensures its residents a healthy, vibrant, and self-sustaining life which will run smoothly in order to deal with situations like that of the Coronavirus Pandemic.

03 REBIRTH OF GAS HOLDERS DATE: 06/2019 LOCATION: SHANGHAI, CHINA AREA: 10.9ha INSTRUCTOR: HONGFEI JI TYPE: GROUP WORK TEAMMATE: SHUYANG SUN Shuidian gas company has four abandon gas holders, as this city developing, there have several shopping malls and schools around gas holders. However, abandon gas holders impede people arrive at their destination quickly. What's more, there exists soil pollution because of gas holders. Therefore, I design special terrains to link nearby buildings and deal with the polluted soi with three kinds of ecological remediation strategies.

Apart from the heavily polluted soil fixed and seperated in the mounds, there are still much lightly polluted soil in the site. Use ecological method and select appropriate plants to fix, absorb and volatilize the polluted substance. Refer to Phyto: Principals and Resources for Site Remediation and Landscape Design from Kate Kennen and Niall Kirkwood.

05 RENASCENCE DATE: 04/2019 LOCATION:DUNHUANG, CHINA AREA: 22ha INSTRUCTOR: SHUNYAO HU TYPE: GROUP WORK TEAMMATES: YANFENG TANG, YIFENG FU Because of sand erosion and oxidation, Mogao Caves are experiencing irreversible damage and will vanish in the future. In this design, we, landscape designers, want to play as guardians. We design a new park right in front of original Mogao Cave, which forms through a series of ecological processes and man-made processes, to deepen visitors' impression of culture. Besides, we plan to close original Mogao Caves in order to prevent caves from vanishing. Additionally, we design IP operation for spreading culture worldwide.
THE MAPPING OF THE OVERLAND SILK ROAD Much culture is in danger Many civilizations on the silk road have disappeared under natural and man-made factors, and the existing culture is in danger of extinction. As an important node of the silk road, the dunhuang mogao caves is of great value……
