FLOOD ANALYSIS COASTLINE SECTION 1
COASTLINE SECTION 2
COASTLINE SECTION 3
From the section of the coastline, it can be seen that the coastal area is not much higher than the sea level. This may be a cause of flood. It can be seen from the rainfall map that there are more rainfall in coastal areas.
FLOOD ANALYSIS
The second reason may be the heavy rainfall in Adelaide, which is more concentrated in winter. It can be seen from the figure that floods of varying degrees appeared near Henley Beach in the winter with heavier rainfall before 1960. But after that, repairs were carried out near Henley Beach to reduce the possibility of flooding.
FLOOD PREVENTION As Adelaide rainfall is uncontrollable, sea level rise is an inevitable problem. To solve the flood can only be changed from the coast. In order to prevent seawater from rushing to the coastal communities, a permeable ground was set on the coast to extend the length of the beach, and a rock wall was set as a buffer, and a dam was set on the top of the rock wall to prevent high waves from entering the community. A plant buffer zone is set up near the community, one is to prevent the beach sand from blowing to the community, and the other is to block the flow of water. Plant buffer
