R.O LAB Year 2016, 5th Semester
This project started from using virtual reality and consists of many different stories and parts in it. Instead of turning the unused space in the forest into a mirror maze, the function of the space is recreated into a more meaningful and interesting purpose - the R.O Lab. It is a 2-storey building, consisting of two main activities held inside. Research and Observation.
Location and Derivation of Device
Newcastle upon Tyne
Singapore
While travelling into the parallel reality, I happened to walk into a place that seems similar as the train station in newcastle. However, what caught my eye was the unpleasant algae that’s on the wall and ground. So, i came out with a sentence to help me derive the making of device. “the prolonged imperfection, vanishes within the shadowy luminous breadth.”
“The prolonged imperfection, vanishes into the shadowy luminous breadth.”
A device was made to show that even though imperfection can be hidden by choice (opening of side mirrors), it can’t be hidden forever (the gaps in between) and could be accumulated overtime.
The Design of R.O Lab The different scaling of the device is then transformed into many small parts of the R.O Lab. As the massive building is mostly made of concrete, it is an unpleasant material that is in the forest. Hence, mirrors were cladded onto it, which reflects the beauty of nature.
Programmes LEVEL 1
Discussion of observations such as the wildlife animals and the trees. Linkway that links the garage to the main building makes the wildlife animals unable to attack the people inside.
LEVEL 2
Computation and sending of data to the city area. A better grasp of what is happening on the ground level.

CONNECTION Year 2015, 3rd Semester
Located at the Blue Moon Valley, it was designed to allow tourists and locals to have close intimacy to the nature and interact with one another. Through Connection, people can have a clear view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. In addition, since the Blue Moon Valley has a long stretch of river, tourists and locals do not need to walk along the river course when they can just cut across. Materials used are mainly wood and plastic since it is not too expensive. Furthermore, the use of wood can make one blend into the nature.
The Prcocess
Blinking and sneezing are our two chosen verbs. We then proceed to do a video that shows the action of the two verbs. Blinking: Forth and back of cracking the egg. Sneezing: Blowing of dust particles.
Ant Nest
Screenshots of the video are being taken. Details are being traced out (image above). The red line across the image indicates the section of something that we will have to build at the next process.
Marble Machine
Sketch of one of the five joints
The ant nest is being build with reference of the cross section and with only three materials to use (cardboard, aluminium foil and wire). The marble machine is of the interpretation of ant nest. Out of the five joints from he ant nest, I selected one joint to make it into a bridge, the Connection.

WONDERLAND Year 2016, 5th Semester
It is a group project done in collaboration with the Scandinavian Business Seating for InDesign Singapore 2016. Flowing with the theme ‘Wonderland’, the event set-up is designed with extraordinary spaces being crafted by using the play of scale and visual distortion. Visitors who enter the Scandinavian Business Seating 4 level building will experience the vast difference from the outside environment and inside, infusing the interior usage of the exquisite Scandinavian culture.

REMINISCENCE OF THE GREEN Year 2016, 5th Semester
It is a group project done for Park(ing) Day. Park(ing) Day Singapore is a community initiative by SUTD, in partnership with Urban Redevelopment Authority to engage the public in rethinking our city. It is an annual daylong global event where citizens, artists and activists collaborate to transform parking spaces into public places. Located at Sam Leong Road, Reminiscence of the Green is a temporary green intervention that invites residents or public to regain their social well-being with a mahjong game as they take a breather in this economically-challenging times.
The Prcocess
We attended a briefing from the SUTD students about Park(ing) Day. Afterwards, we went to our site location, Sam Leong Rd, and splitted into different teams to different areas. Survey was conducted. We went on to deciding what we want to do on Park(ing) Day, presenting our ideas and improving it along the way. Presentation

Intervention consists of bed frames and real greenery. This was done from the feedback from the survey: Bringing back the presence of greenery from the past of Jalan Besar. We tested out to determine if it could work to our expectations (below).
Chinese Chess board
the exterior was also considered. Chinese chess and mahjong were carried out to also bring back the past activites that are played regularly among the elderly. The chinese chess board (above) were designed by ourselves.

Park(ing) Day 2016 was held on 16 September 2016 from 11am to 4pm. We arrived at the location early to set up our temporary green intervention. We started from laying the green carpet to putting the fixtures together and lastly decorating it with real plants. Mahjong and chinese chess game were being set up at the same time.
The intervention invites residents and public to regain their social well-being with a mahjong game as they take a breather in this economically-challenging times. They were also amazed with the activities that were ongoing in the interior and exterior. Some of the residents and shopowners also took their time to engage with us.
FUSTERY Year 2017, 6th Semester
Fustery = fun + mystery, is an improvised shopping adventure for the future, specifically targeted to the younger generation. Shoppers will not be able to foretell the purchased product throughout the buying process. They will receive one to three ‘rewards’ dependable on their budget. CONNECTED LINKAGE Year 2015, 4th Semester
Connected Linkage is located in the unused space of a shopping mall. It shows a new way of showcasing products from the maximum space usage provided to the fexible arrangement, replacing the old way such as the use of display shelves. At the same time, the Connected Linkage also enables the people to freely walk around while admiring the shoes along the pathway.

Joint B
The ‘ant nest’ model is being made up of three materials and designed in a way that best deliver the two verbs (Blinking & Sneezing). After which, one joint from the model is being selected and interpreted into Joint A and Joint B.
The Design of Connected Linkage Connected Linkage consists of 2 levels made with many modules (Joint A & B). The modules are designed in such a way that they are interlocking, overlaying and joined within one another. FRONT ELEVATION
PLAN VIEW
It is made up of two types of materials, black marble (grey) and onyx marble (white). Black marble: Serves as steps which links ground level to second level. Onyx marble: Serves as a base for both levels.

L.M.W HOUSE Year 2017, 1st Semester
The site for this project are units 275 and 277 of the shophouses located at Holland Village, facing Holland Road. The L.M.W HOUSE consists of living and working environment for the craft (macrame) and the craftsman. The interior is designed with the idea of interlocking spaces of one volume to another volume (stairs, hallways). This idea of interlocking helps to connect the living and working environment together instead of separating the two categories.
The Prcocess

The uniqueness of macrame is that it only requires different knot techniques to make a end product. These knot techniques consists mostly of interlocking patterns. From this interpretation of macrame to interior spaces, conceptual sketches of interlocking and multi-functional spaces were drawn.

CO-LINK Year 2014, 3rd Semester
From the observation made, people are often seen engrossed in technology like mobile phones. In addition, instead of walking in longer distance around the shopping mall, shortcuts are used often. Hence, by the use of a design methodology: the mapping of human flow and knowledge of the location, Co-link is designed to make full use of the unused spaces and allow connection to occur within different people.
The Prcocess
My site location is at Serangoon Nex shopping mall. I have identified the unused space. This space will then be used for new purpose, most importantly, increase of communication within people.
By taking pictures of the human flow with relation to the unused space, mapping is being done by tracing it on the butter paper. This can clearly show which specific areas were not used by people.
The Design of Connected Linkage
Different design models of Co-link is made and placed on the site model to see if it works.
LADY CHAIR Year 2016, 5th Semester
This project consists of two parts. Firstly, skillset such as AutoCAD and 3ds Max were used to make a replica of the Lady Chair made by Marco Zanuso. Secondly, the Lady Chair was then put into my own choice of scene.
