Split the difference Split is the oldest cultural city of Croatia, a unique palace – the living monument and the best place for big events.
Split is a city with a long Opera and Ballet tradition. The theatre season lasts from October till late April, while the Split summer theatre season is in July and August. Numerous museums, the Meštrović Gallery, Art Gallery and abundant selection of city events next to the historical spectacles, Diocletian guard changes, a capella singing in the narrow streets of the city centre, folklore dancing and musical and theatre festivals, complete the cultural offer of the city that radiates with a difference, the most important quality, or as the journalists put it: Split the difference.
