Many of our roads and bridges are “Structurally Deficient” and our Delegate isn’t listening!
I’m Michael Abraham. I'm running for the Virginia House of Delegates and I’m not in anybody’s pocket.
Dear neighbor, Two months ago, a chunk of concrete flaked off an Interstate 81 bridge and struck a woman in the head. VDOT has labeled many of the bridges here in the 7th District “Structurally Deficient.” The longer we delay maintenance, the greater the cost and the greater the risk. The most recent Virginia General Assembly passed a Transportation Bill, the first such Bill in a generation. It was endorsed by the Governor and it provided money to fund new highway construction, extend Amtrak to Roanoke, and maintain these bridges. Our delegate, Nick Rush, voted against it. I will support efforts to maintain, improve, and modernize our transportation network to provide a safer environment for travelers and the infrastructure that manufacturers, farmers, and distributors need to grow and prosper. I ask for your vote on November 5th, because I’ll work for you.
