As a result of a wish to provide a modular furniture system for student housing which is versatile, functional and fully customisable I'm introducing ADAPTO.

combined allows for endless con gurations. All of the modules and componentsunless the kitchen and the bed-are secured with standard M6 screws into wall panels. To change the location of them one person is required. Only in some cases, depending on the size/weight of the modules, more people would be needed for this operation.
PANEL MODULE The panel module is the heart of the system as it holds in place: modules, components and accessories.

KITCHEN MODULE The kitchen module is one of the two modules that is not wall mounted and it is the only module that is static.

BED MODULE The bed module is the second module which is not wall-mounted but movable. It can hold components in it´s headboard, footboard and both lateral sides. Also two big drawers could be added underneath the bed to add extra storage if needed.

WARDROBE MODULE The wardrobe module is one of the wallmounted pieces. It´s used for storing clothes and/or other items. This module can have other components and accessories inside.

WORKSTATION MODULE The workstation module is another wallmounted module. It has a folding table top wich once closed takes very little space. It can also have components and accessories inside.

COMPONENTS Every component comes pre-set with holes in the inner side of its four faces (top, bottom and two sides), to hold different accessories (drawers, shelves, doors, wheels). The use of different accessories establishes the function of the components:
Open Cabinets (with or without shelves)
Close cabinets (adding a door)
Cabinets on wheels (adding wheels)
Chest of drawers (adding drawers)
or a combination of all of them
Also every component could be used in two different positions rotating it 90°
ACCESSORIES The accessories play an important role as they make the system versatile, functional and customisable.
ACCESSORIES: WOODEN PINS
Wooden pins are produced in two sizes: 100 and 200mm long. They are used to hang small objects as well as to place wooden shelves on top of them.

ADAPTO IN ACTION One apartment typology, three students = three ADAPTO solutions. With the next three cases (case #1, case #2, case #3) the idea is to show the same apartment organised in three different ways, to suit the needs and preferences of three different students. As the furniture is placed/hanged on wall panels without any legs or plinths, the furniture feels lighter and the space bigger, more spacious and organised. Additionally the apartments are easier to clean and tidy.
Guarantee and damaged pieces
ADAPTO has two years guarantee in every module, component and accessory.
Every part of the system has a code. With this code a replacement process it s smooth and simple. After being noti ed of a broken piece, within a week a new piece will be sent.
As no glue is used to assemble any module or component of the system, (only screws and connectors) the replacement of the damage pieces is simple and quick and in most cases it can be done by the students.
Even the kitchen top, which is the piece that is most exposed to misused and damages, is thought to be changed without dissembling the hole kitchen.
