Jimmy Grima

Based in Malta (Europe), Jimmy Grima is an illustrator, theatre director and graphic designer. He is inspired by nature, architecture, the spiritual world and the Mediterranean sea. Black and White. Linear and Curves are his addiction. His drawings are usually is done with ink pens of 0.2mm to 0.5 mm thickness. His theatre works are usually an ongoing investigation of the human nature and the human context in a society. He was enrolled at the Darintington College of Arts following a degree in Contemporary Theatre and Digital Art in 2003. He beliefs that the best training he ever took was from working and collaborating with other artists/groups away from the small conservative island of Malta. Jimmy Grima founded Patches – The Special Market together with Denise Scicluna Jimmy Grima is the founder of the rubberbodies collective of which he is the artistic director.
