bicicleta sEm freio Acclaimed Brazilian design and illustration collective, Bicicleta Sem Freio, have officially completed their first mural on the streets of Los Angeles, USA. The group, which consists of graphic designers Douglas Castro, Victor Rocha, and Renato Reno, formed in Goiânia, Brazil. The group is internationally famed for their large-scale public artworks, typified by highlyexpressive line work and expensive color palletes.

Juxtaposing surreal, often provocative temptresses, with tentacled marine life, phantoms, kaleidoscopic flesh work, classic rock n’ roll iconography, chopped motorcycles, and more flesh. Bicicleta Sem Freio’s most recent work is a colassal public mural, which took 11 days, across all four floors of Legendary investors Group No 1, LLC. The Brazilian artists are also part of the JustKids’ artists curated by Charlotte Dutoit.
Art, design and rock ’n’ roll It might sound cliché but this is the simplest, most honest and coherent way of trying to explain this power trio of illustrators that answers to the name “Bicicleta sem Freio.”

Natural Act is composed of several collages based on the questions of the relation between nature and humanity. It is basically a critical presentation referring to the fact that each of us is a part of nature. It seeks the answer whether greed, urbanization, mechanization and detaching from nature is favorable or coherent for humans or not. In that sense, Natural Act appears with colors when our emotions are paralyzed in the vital points of the clichĂŠ and dull city life.

daphne van den Heuvel Daphne van den Heuvel is a graduate of Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam where she made a final collection called Root Route. Root Route represents a journey from child to adult in lines and layers of memories. Daphne shows her own timeline by cutting and layering baby size through adult size patterns, combined with garments, inspired by her current clothing. She uses lasercut transparent fabrics to capture the journey from past to present. Daphne’s latest collection is an extension of this story and also focuses on memories. In this collection fabrics consist of self designed knitwear and lasercut fabrics inspired on a babydress of her own. With her collection she tries to keep the memories alive. Besides making fashion she also enjoys making drawings. She has been doing this for a long time so the love for art was there at a young age.
