Natatorium. Atlanta, GA Spring 2009 _ Junior 2nd semester Following on the work done studying light and water (page 30-33), this project translates the effects achieved with those models into a community natatorium sited on a small hill, the complex includes swimming pools, water garden, a rain collection pond (retention pond), and a media area (interpreted as an auditorium).

Installation Arts Inside Out Green Wall
Inside Out. Georgia Tech, GA Fall 2009 / Senior 1st semester Beginning of the Fall 2009 semester year in Georgia Institute of Technology, I tried to familiarize myself with the Cisco Amphitheater and the Courtyard between Fibre Optic Network and Ford Motor Company buildings. The site looks like a very peaceful place, but through the ears, I could hear loud and noisy sounds coming from the roof tops of surrounded buildings’ laboratory vent system. Since I noticed the sound effect, I walked around the site and stood up a point where the place has the loudest sound from a certain building. Through the research I have located specific locations where each of three vents are heard the loudest, these locations are important to interpret the site. With the installation, people who approach my installations can place the ears up to the receiver and hear (experience/notice) the noisy sound grom each roof. My goal is for people to recognize two opposing experiences: peaceful visual environment vs. noisy auditory environment.

Green Wall. Georgia Tech, GA Spring 2010 _ Senior 2nd semester Since the horizontal eco-commons in the campus of Georgia Institute of Technolog are very limited to increase its size, the one of the solutions is to create the vertical eco-commons. Throught the semester, I studied for the four different elements of the properties of water as below (mapping): capillary action, condensation, infrastructure, and hidden water. My idea came from the combination between the four water elements and the eco-commons, the GREEN WALL. This green wall is going to install at the construction site as a substitution fence. Also, it’s movable and contains a water tank at the bottom. Dimension of the panel is 8 feet by 11 feet. The panel is composed of three parts: a metal frame, a PVC layer and a layer of felt. The role of the water tank is to hold the stormwater to provide water to the plants. There is a drip irrigation system from bottom to top. The irrigation works with the electricity which get the solar energy from the nature to the receiver attached the back of the panel. The green wall have the several advantages: 1. it provides vertical eco-commons in the capus to increase the green space, 2. it’s a separation wall between the construction site and the pathway to control the noise which coming from the construction site, and 3. it’s movable and reusable.

Light and Water Spring 2009 / Junior 2nd semester Done as a precursor to the natatorium project, these studies attempt to examine interactions between light and water. Beginning as a photographic study, the initial images were in turn reinterpreted two dimensionally then three dimensionally. From here, the models themselves were then examined, distilling the effect that had been achieved.

Twisted Cube. 34N84W Atlanta, GA Spring 2008 _ Sophomore 2nd semester Done as an exercise in charting sun paths, the Study begun by choosing two times in two seasons and mapping the sun’s entrance into a cube on those days.

COA: College of Architecture Spring 2007 _ Freshmen 2nd semester This exercise seeks to examine the west wing of Georgia Tech’s College of Architecture. First exploring its exterior, it diagrams its measurements, structure, and spatial qualities. From here, it traces a path into the building. Starting at the exterior stairs, it enters from third floor and travels to an interior space. Collage shows views at regular intervals throughout the trip.
