The Greenlink

spring 2014 university of miami studio autocad, google sketchup with podium, photoshop, indesign the vision for this project was to utilize the long linear tract of land beneath the miami metro rail. under the direction of prof. rocco ceo, the students collaboratively designed 10 miles of linear park and amenities that would join communities and provide pedestrian friendly transportation. website: thegreenlink.org

Rural Studios Design

fall 2010 university of miami studio hand drawn, ink on mylar, physical wood model the assignment for this project was to design an artist’s community on monhegan island in maine. the challenge of this project was to design studio spaces for visiting artists on a steep slope and to apply considerations for high winds, extreme storm conditions, sustainability, and building orientation based on the position of the sun. physical model

Miami Architecture Center

fall 2011 university of miami studio autocad, google sketchup with podium, photoshop the aia of south florida acted as our studio’s client for this project. they asked us to design an architecture center for the city of miami which would be located in the downtown area. the architecture center needed to include gallery space for exhibitions, a bookstore, office space, a library, an archive center, and a space for lectures and seminars. the main purpose for the building is to allow the people of miami to learn about their city’s history and architecture.

Classical Architecture

spring 2013 university of miami studio autocad, watercolor in this studio, prof. richard john taught us how to correctly use classical architecture based on the treatises from the time of the renaissance. the challenge was to use classical proportions and the classical orders to design a three teacher schoolhouse and a facade for a pre-existing building.

Museum Park

spring 2010 university of miami studio hand drawn, ink on mylar this project required a new park design and restaurant renovation for a pre-existing park located in the heart of downtown miami, fl. the north side of the park had already been designed with two large museums and a large man-made berm located in a centralized location of the park. our task was to design the hardscapes, landscapes, and restaurant that would be located just south of the berm. the park required that all planting and materials be native to south florida. the restaurant needed to incorporate elements of sustainable systems and design.

spring 2012 university of miami studio autocad, revit architecture, photoshop this project is located on the existing site of the playhouse theater in coconut grove, fl. the project needed to be retro-fitted within the urban layout of the city and act as an addition to the existing playhouse theater. the challenge of the project was to design a lutherie complex with studios, classrooms, and workshops on a challenging site. stair
