Connection to Country What will contribute towards the Post-Colonial Utopia is the significance of country by the Aboriginal people. Country means to be interdependant with yourself and the ancestral lands and seas of the indigenous people. The land becomes their very identity because it provides spirit, food and culture. This becomes contrary to how we see land as we see it as something that we own and is portioned. Whereas the connection to Country the indigenous people had is much more than that, it is their spirit, their identity and culture. This projects aims to create a utopian village where its architecture will lightly touch the earth as well as have minimal impact towards the environment. But also seeks to become an extension of country to help experience it better through spacial arrangements and framed views.
