Dear​ ​Parents/Carers,

We hope you all have a fantastic Summer Holiday. We are really looking forward to working with all the Key Stage 1 children in September. Over the holiday it would be brilliant to carry on reading regularly with your child. We have also produced some ideas linked to our first half term’s topic.

Once​ ​Upon​ ​a​ ​Time

Home​ ​learning​ ​activities: ● Write​ ​your​ ​own​ ​version​ ​of​ ​a​ ​fairy​ ​tale. ● Create​ ​a​ ​character​ ​profile. ● Paint​ ​a​ ​picture​ ​from​ ​a​ ​fairy​ ​tale​ ​scene. ● Research​ ​famous​ ​Kings​ ​and​ ​Queens ● Build​ ​a​ ​castle. ● Make​ ​a​ ​GingerBread​ ​Man ● Learn​ ​a​ ​song​ ​about​ ​a​ ​fairy​ ​tale. ● Learn​ ​about​ ​a​ ​fairy​ ​tale​ ​from​ ​another country.

We​ ​would​ ​like​ ​to​ ​see​ ​all​ ​children​ ​complete​ ​at​ ​least​ ​one​ ​of​ ​these​ ​activities. They​ ​can​ ​choose​ ​how​ ​to​ ​present​ ​their​ ​work.​ ​We​ ​look​ ​forward​ ​to​ ​seeing what​ ​you​ ​get​ ​up​ ​to!
