22 July 2019 Dear Parents and Carers SCAPA - Breakfast and After School Club I am delighted to confirm that from September 2019, Breakfast club will be open from 7.45am, in response from feedback from parents. Since the launch of SCAPA many years ago, prices have remained static and there has been no price increase. The school has been able to absorb the increase in wages, pension and natural insurance costs and rising food costs. However, we have reached the point where an increase to SCAPA breakfast and after school clubs is required to cover some of these additional costs incurred and for the year ahead. As you may be aware, schools are facing budget pressures due to minimal increases to per pupil funding which does not cover the rising wage bill each year. Our support staff wage increase was between 2-9% for 2018/19 alone. The Local Governing Body has agreed that in future SCAPA prices will be reviewed and increased in line with inflation on an annual basis. th
