Notes for use We have made this powerpoint for your daily tasks to complete at home. You can either answer the questions by printing out the slides, recording the answers on paper or typing in a word document. Whatever really suits you best. Please feel free to look at other year groups if this pack becomes too challenging. Remember to not put too much pressure on yourselves to complete everything on here.

MATHS: One more/one less… top tips!! ● One more/one less ● First have a go at counting up to 40, then back down to 0 again. ● Practice counting on from numbers up to 40; remember how you LOCK the number in your head, then count on (or back from it) ● Use a number line if it helps you, or real objects

Compare the potions with each other - use greater than and less than Can you put them in order? If you have a measuring jug, can you measure the volume of your potions? Write down the different volumes


Extra challenge: Write a story about your magic potion! If you sprinkle it on someone, would they grow wings… turn invisible…? Maybe it would take them to a desert island or an alien planet…? I’d love to read your stories!!

Topic challenge for today…... ● See if you can weigh out the ingredients yourself ● Can you think of some expanded noun phrases to describe the taste? ● (e.g. warm, crunchy cake)


Extra optional challenge: Write a set of instructions for someone to tell them how to make the cake. Try to use time connectives: first/next/ after that/finally.

Use imperative (BOSSY) verbs: put/stir/cook/add/ etc
