About the Duke Club
The Duke Club is the fundraising arm for James Madison University Athletics . Through its annual fund drive, the Duke Club raises Athletics contributions in support of student-athlete scholarships and the athletic budget . Additionally, the Duke Club aids athletic facility operating budget campaigns . enhancements and other needs through capital campaigns As a Duke Club member, you contribute to the educational opportunities of the student-athletes representing James Madison University . Each and every season, Duke Club members witness University their impact firsthand as JMU student-athletes routinely compete as champions both on the playing field and in the classroom . The Duke Club Rep Program is a network of dedicated alumni, parents, and friends working together to increase participation in the Duke Club . These volunteers generate support and camaraderie among Duke Club members and potential members . Most reps participate for the sole purpose of supporting JMU Athletics . However, the Rep Rewards Program provides incentives to show appreciation to Duke Club reps who successfully raise funds . JMU Duke Club Tax Implications & Matching Gifts All benefits associated with each specific giving level are automatically accepted by the donor unless the donor submits in writing to the Duke Club any benefits he/she wants to decline . Additionally, the written declination of benefits must be received along with the donor’s first payment toward his/her annual pledge . A declination of benefits is irrevocable for the 2010 Duke Club year . Example:
Sharon is a Bluestone Level Duke Club member . Benefits under Bluestone include the opportunity to purchase as many as six (6) football priority season tickets with hospitality passes not to exceed the number of football season tickets purchased as well as priority parking . Also included is the opportunity to purchase lower level season tickets in men’s basketball with hospitality passes not to exceed the number of men’s basketball season tickets purchased as well as priority parking .
If Sharon plans to purchase only two (2) football priority season tickets WITH hospitality and only (3) three men’s basketball season tickets WITH hospitality, then she would need to send notification in writing, and at the time of payment to decline any additional hospitality to maximize her tax benefit and/or company matching policy . JMU Duke Club Q&A Do I need to be a JMU alumni to be a Duke Club member?
No . Any individual who wants to support JMU Athletics and our student-athletes can be a Duke Club member .
How do I keep the same tickets I had last season?
Every Duke Club member who has made their required annual contribution and submitted their ticket renewal by the Priority deadline is guaranteed their same season tickets from the prior season . In the event of ticket reseating, all Duke Club members are welcome to request seats, which will then be allocated based on Priority Points .
When will the next football and basketball reseating cycle be?
For basketball, reseating will take place in early October, and for football, before the 2011 season . Priority Point rank will determine the order of seat selection .
I want my season tickets to be in a better location. How do I upgrade my seats?
All Duke Club members are welcome to request different seating during the preseason renewal process process . If seats are available, requests will be granted in order of Priority Points . Points Some locations require a certain Duke Club giving level (i .e . chairback tickets require an annual Duke Club gift of at least $1,500) . In the event of ticket reseating (next in 2011), all Duke Club members are welcome to request seats, which will then be allocated based on Priority Points . Points
I ordered season tickets, but cannot make it to every game. What can I do with my unused tickets?
Duke Club members have the opportunity to gain more Priority Points by returning unused tickets and parking passes prior to the game(s) to the Duke Club Club . Refer to the Priority Points section (page 4) to see how Priority Points are allocated in return for unused tickets and passes . parking passes Season ticket holders are also encouraged to re-sell their unused tickets using Madison Marketplace, earning money back and ensuring that other JMU fans can attend the game game . Do you need to give a Duke Club donation to get season tickets?
Yes . For the 2010 football season, all new season ticket orders require an annual Duke Club donation . Season ticket orders for Priority Seating require an annual contribution of at least $125 $125 .
I make gifts to other areas in the university. Do I receive any benefits for those gifts?
Priority points are granted to all donors who make a gift to the athletic department department . Duke Club benefits are granted exclusively to donors who provide gifts to the Duke Club’s general fund, which are then used to support the scholarship needs and offset the operational budget of the JMU Athletics Department . Contributions to other areas of JMU do not support athletics and therefore do not earn Priority Points or other benefits involving athletics .

JMU Duke Club Ca p i ta l Ca mp a i gns Campaign for Bridgeforth Stadium
Work has started on a $62,000,000 renovation of Bridgeforth Stadium . The stadium project will create the pre-eminent college football environment in all of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) . Specifically, the project features the addition of 10,000 seats, improved sight lines for all seats on the West Side, a club level, hospitality suites and a new press box . . When completed, the total seating capacity in the stadium will be approximately 25,000 . New hospitality suites along with a club level will be developed and allow JMU fans to experience the highest level of class and comfort during football games . The new press box will house an expanded working media area, enhanced television and radio broadcast positions as well as coaches booths . The club level, with its 1,006 seats on sale now, will allow the ticket holder exclusive access to the club room and club lounge . Club patrons have the opportunity to enjoy high end food and beverages throughout each home football game in the lounge area . The climate controlled club level will span 8,000 square feet, and allow JMU fans to enjoy a high end experience while overlooking the field . The suite level will feature 15 hospitality suites each with a capacity of 16 people . Each suite will have 12 seats, along with four stools to accommodate additional guests . Premium furnishings, two flat screen televisions, and a modern living area will compliment the indoor and outdoor viewing space . Full hospitality and catering will also be available to the suite holder . Also housed on the suite level will be the President’s Suite (48 Seats) and the Athletic Director’s Suite (24 Seats) .
Veterans Memorial Park
Veterans Memorial Park, the new home of JMU Baseball and Softball, opened in 2010 . Both parks have lights, with baseball seating 1,200 and softball holding 500 500 . Memorial Hall, the former Harrisonburg High School, houses the baseball and softball locker rooms with wooden lockers, coaches offices plus a reception area . The facility also sports two batting tunnels, a sports medicine suite and a team room along with a lounge for both squads . The new facility features a public memorial and Veterans Memorial Park . The monument pays tribute to citizens of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County who lost their lives while serving to protect our nation .

About the Duke Club
The Duke Club is the fundraising arm for James Madison University Athletics . Through its annual fund drive, the Duke Club raises Athletics contributions in support of student-athlete scholarships and the athletic budget . Additionally, the Duke Club aids athletic facility operating budget campaigns . enhancements and other needs through capital campaigns As a Duke Club member, you contribute to the educational opportunities of the student-athletes representing James Madison University . The Duke Club Rep Program is a network of dedicated alumni, parents, and friends working together to increase participation in the Duke Club . These volunteers generate support and camaraderie among Duke Club members and potential members . Most reps participate for the sole purpose of supporting JMU Athletics . However, the Rep Rewards Program provides incentives to show appreciation to Duke Club reps who successfully raise funds . JMU Duke Club Tax Implications & Matching Gifts All benefits associated with each specific giving level are automatically accepted by the donor unless the donor submits in writing to the Duke Club any benefits he/she wants to decline . Additionally, the written declination of benefits must be received along with the donor’s first payment toward his/her annual pledge . A declination of benefits is irrevocable for the 2010 Duke Club year . Example:
Sharon is a Bluestone Level Duke Club member . Benefits under Bluestone include the opportunity to purchase as many as six (6) football priority season tickets with hospitality passes not to exceed the number of football season tickets purchased as well as priority parking . Also included is the opportunity to purchase lower level season tickets in men’s basketball with hospitality passes not to exceed the number of men’s basketball season tickets purchased as well as priority parking .
If Sharon plans to purchase only two (2) football priority season tickets WITH hospitality and only (3) three men’s basketball season tickets WITH hospitality, then she would need to send notification in writing, and at the time of payment to decline any additional hospitality to maximize her tax benefit and/or company matching policy . Otherwise, it will be an automatic assumption that Sharon will want the maximum number of tickets and hospitality passes and dollar values for all will be excluded from her actual donation when reporting for tax purposes and/or company matching . JMU Duke Club Q&A Do I need to be a JMU alumni to be a Duke Club member?
No . Any individual who wants to support JMU Athletics and our student-athletes can be a Duke Club member .
How do I keep the same tickets I had last season?
Every Duke Club member who has made their required annual contribution and submitted their ticket renewal by the Priority deadline is guaranteed their same season tickets from the prior season . In the event of ticket reseating, all Duke Club members are welcome to request seats, which will then be allocated based on Priority Points .
When will the next football and basketball reseating cycle be?
For basketball, reseating will take place in early October, and for football, before the 2011 season . Priority Point rank will determine the order of seat selection .
I want my season tickets to be in a better location. How do I upgrade my seats?
All Duke Club members are welcome to request different seating during the preseason renewal process process . If seats are available, requests will be granted in order of Priority Points . Points Some locations require a certain Duke Club giving level (i .e . chairback tickets require an annual Duke Club gift of at least $1,500) . In the event of ticket reseating (next in 2011), all Duke Club members are welcome to request seats, which will then be allocated based on Priority Points . Points
I ordered season tickets, but cannot make it to every game. What can I do with my unused tickets?
Duke Club members have the opportunity to gain more Priority Points by returning unused tickets and parking passes prior to the game(s) to the Duke Club Club . Refer to the Priority Points section (page 4) to see how Priority Points are allocated in return for unused tickets and passes . parking passes Season ticket holders are also encouraged to re-sell their unused tickets using Madison Marketplace, earning money back and ensuring that other JMU fans can attend the game game . Do you need to give a Duke Club donation to get season tickets?
Yes . For the 2010 football season, all new season ticket orders require an annual Duke Club donation . Season ticket orders for Priority Seating require an annual contribution of at least $125 $125 .
I make gifts to other areas in the university. Do I receive any benefits for those gifts?
Priority points are granted to all donors who make a gift to the athletic department department . Duke Club benefits are granted exclusively to donors who provide gifts to the Duke Club’s general fund, which are then used to support the scholarship needs and offset the operational budget of the JMU Athletics Department . Contributions to other areas of JMU do not support athletics and therefore do not earn Priority Points or other benefits involving athletics .

JMU Duke Club Ca p i ta l Ca mp a i gns Campaign for Bridgeforth Stadium
Work has started on a $62,000,000 renovation of Bridgeforth Stadium . The stadium project will create the pre-eminent college football environment in all of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) . Specifically, the project features the addition of 10,000 seats, improved sight lines for all seats on the West Side, a club level, hospitality suites and a new press box . . When completed, the total seating capacity in the stadium will be approximately 25,000 . New hospitality suites along with a club level will be developed and allow JMU fans to experience the highest level of class and comfort during football games . The new press box will house an expanded working media area, enhanced television and radio broadcast positions as well as coaches booths . The club level, with its 1,006 seats on sale now, will allow the ticket holder exclusive access to the club room and club lounge . Club patrons have the opportunity to enjoy high end food and beverages throughout each home football game in the lounge area . The climate controlled club level will span 8,000 square feet, and allow JMU fans to enjoy a high end experience while overlooking the field . The suite level will feature 15 hospitality suites each with a capacity of 16 people . Each suite will have 12 seats, along with four stools to accommodate additional guests . Premium furnishings, two flat screen televisions, and a modern living area will compliment the indoor and outdoor viewing space . Full hospitality and catering will also be available to the suite holder . Also housed on the suite level will be the President’s Suite (48 Seats) and the Athletic Director’s Suite (24 Seats) .
Veterans Memorial Park
Veterans Memorial Park, the new home of JMU Baseball and Softball, opened in 2010 . Both parks have lights, with baseball seating 1,200 and softball holding 500 500 . Memorial Hall, the former Harrisonburg High School, houses the baseball and softball locker rooms with wooden lockers, coaches offices plus a reception area . The facility also sports two batting tunnels, a sports medicine suite and a team room along with a lounge for both squads . The new facility features a public memorial and Veterans Memorial Park . The monument pays tribute to citizens of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County who lost their lives while serving to protect our nation .
Port Road Sports Park
The Port Road Sports Park plans to feature space for Intercollegiate Athletics as well as University Recreation . The home of this future project will be on 85-acres of land at the corner of Port Republic Road and Neff Avenue .
