2009 JMU Field Hockey
A Message from the Coach I hope you enjoy looking through our 2009-10 James Madison University women’s golf team recruiting guide. It is with great pleasure that I have the opportunity to be the head women’s golf coach at such an outstanding and progressive university. Our team has completed its second season with the addition of golf scholarships. Our young players have assisted the team to a very successful beginning of what I know, will be a terrific program. The present team members are looking forward to the 2009-2010 season. I am also excited to be hosting our second James Madison University college golf invitational at Eagle Landing Golf Club in Jacksonville, Fla. Every year my goals are to play a top Division I schedule, win our conference championship and participate in the NCAA Championship. I am confident that our program will be ranked alongside the Schedule top college golf programs in the very near future. September The student-athlete at James Madison University is offered a highly 12-13 at Mary Fossum Invitational competitive academic program, an exciting living environment and a 18-20 at Lady Paladin Invitational support staff that will help our athletes be successful both on and off 27-29 at UNCG Starmount Invitational the course. Our strength and conditioning coaches hold mandatory October workouts that are geared toward golf-related performance. Our 4-5 at Eat-A-Peach Mercer Invitational academic advising center provides tutors, labs and study areas that the 19-20 at Lady Pirate Invitational athletes can take advantage of to assure success academically. Our sports medicine facility is staffed with qualified professionals who are February trained to deal with any injuries or illnesses that our student-athletes 14-16 at Qdoba Invitational may encounter. Our players are also granted playing privileges and March memberships seven days a week at our local golf clubs. Along with our 7-9 JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational outside facilities, we have an indoor practice area including a putting 13-14 at Low Country Intercollegiate surface, two hitting stalls and top quality video equipment to analyze 22-23 at Pinehurst Challenge your game. Being a PGA golf professional, I believe that my expertise April in teaching and playing competitively will help my team achieve both 5-6 at Tina Barrett Invitational individual as well as team goals. 16-18 at CAA Championships To learn more about our University and golf program, please go to May our websites at www.jmu.edu or www.jmusports.com. 6-8 at NCAA Regionals Go Dukes! 18-21 at NCAA Championships
