NAME J’nae Saunders!
!
!
1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?!
!
The skills I have learnt throughout this module have been imperative to the process of me networking with people. The sessions we’ve had in networking, contacting agencies. Have enabled me to see a range of ways of speaking to people aside from emailing them, which has enabled me to go on visits, be apart of exhibitions and also land a placement.!
!
I have also learnt a wealth of knowledge about setting up my own business, considering costs, location and what kind of business I could potentially be apart of which is something I have really enjoyed. I think by learning things about this side of graphic design has enabled me to consider what I want to do in the future and not be blind sited if I do choose to set up my own business or do freelancing.
2. What approaches to/methods of design production have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?!
!
In regards to the design production side for my self branding I found it quite hard to define myself, However researching into exciting branding styles and how other people have portrayed themselves acted as a really good source of influence. !
!
I also felt that I could have explored further in branding myself and making more developed outcomes, however due to my time management skills I didn’t have enough time to create something that I felt was really different and interesting.!
!
However I think I have experimented further with using different stock such as acetate and pushing my ideas further in the aspect of using different materials.
3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?!
!
I think something I have identified in my practice is that I am good and communicating with people and making connections. I have expanded on this in my responsive module where I worked with a multitude of other creatives from graphic designers to make-up artists to not limit myself to just one particular type of creative and get a wide variety of creative outlooks.!
! I will capitalise on this by keeping in contact with these people, using linden and continue to build my relations with people.!
! ! !
4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these in the future?!
!
I think my main weakness with PPP has been the blogging side, and keeping my posts regularly up to date. I Think in order for me to reach my full potential in PPP I will have to be more inclined to keep making posts to see my progression as a designer.! I also think the production value of my self branding could have been executed further, due to time constraints and bad time management I felt that I could have created and crafted something I would be more happy with. I think I’m going to look at my branding over summer.
5. Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these?
!! !1. To get a paid placement for the summer, although I have one I will try and find
something that is more fitting my situations. 2. Spend more time blogging and annotating my experience in PPP to get a more refined view of myself as a developing design and the world around me. 3. To refine my crafting skills when it comes to practical skill, which can be done through better time management and patience 4. Find a focus on what I want to do in the design field so that I can have a synthesised connection with a graphic design agency 5. Be more knowledgeable and keep going on studio visits to build my awareness about different design and practices.
! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! 6.How would you grade yourself on the following areas: ! (please indicate using an ‘x’) !

It is essential that you give yourself enough time to complete your written evaluation fully and with appropriate depth and level of self-reflection. If you have any questions relating to the self evaluation process speak to a member of staff as soon as possible.
