Brief_ Asos mode is a innovative mobile app that is personally tailored to the individuals style and needs The app allows users to post and follow their favourite stylists and celebrities. As well as having outfits and trends selected for them depending on what they like. The app allows them to create their own online identity and express themselves through their interest in fashion.

Research_ For the research we set up a blog and mini promotional cards and writing boards to collect primary research from our target market on what the needed for the new asos app. I also researched into, different types of layout design for the proposed publication and app. I also looked into popular fashion trends and styles for the photo shoot.

Development_ One of my roles in the collaborative was to create some editorial designs for branding and promotional for the app, I created a series of front covers and posters for the brief. I also did this with the design of the application trying different grids, colours and images until I found a consistent style of design to follow by with the rest of the work.

Photo shoot The photo shoot was a crucial part in the development of our app designs, as it determined the overall aesthetic. I took on a art direction role in regards to the aesthetic of the Asos app. I organised and outsourced models, make -up artists and photographers for the photo shoot so the images could be used within the app and editorial designs. I arranged 6 models, 3 female and 3 male with day time and night time looks to get a vast variety of images for the photo shoot.

Mobile App_ I designed half of the app design which included 15 pages. Along with my creative partner, we chose an aesthetic style and made alterations at the end of designing to ensure that all of it’s style flowed consistently.

Mail Shot
Editorial_ For the editorial side of the brief, we proposed to create a promotional campaign in the form of a mail shot. I designed two styles of mail shots to introduced the app, one for male and one for females to cater to both sexes. Along with a proposed magazine advert and posters that would be distributed in the city and their delivery parcels.
