Follow These Steps When Using a No EMF Far Infrared Sauna for the First Time

There’s a first time for everything, even when it comes to a no EMF far infrared sauna. If you’re done setting up your unit, you must be excited to go in and try it out. These sauna units are easy to operate so you should be able to enjoy it quickly and without much effort. But to help you get started, here are some steps you can follow on how to have a proper sauna session. 1

Warm up the Sauna to Your Chosen Temperature Before you start a session, set the infrared sauna to your chosen temperature. For first timers, it is recommended to introduce their bodies to heat gradually. Ideally, start at 100 ℉ or less. Allow yourself to become comfortable with the heat before you start to increase it in small increments, where you can go up to as much as 140 degrees F. Time your session to around 15 minutes at the beginning. When you feel that you’re ready, you can extend your session to as long as 30 minutes. Prepare Any Accessories You May Be Using The last thing you want is to go in and out of your far infrared sauna in the middle of a session because you forgot something. If you are using an ergonomic back support or neck rest, be sure to have it ready. The same thing goes for if you prefer to use an infrared foot warmer. Take a Shower Before Going Inside If you came from the outdoors, chances are there are bacteria, oils, perfumes, and dirt stuck to your body. Taking a shower before going in the sauna allows you to wash off these particles. This is also a great way to help keep your sauna unit clean. Bring Drinking Water Inside the Sauna with You Because you will be doing a lot of sweating, you need to make sure you can easily replace lost fluids during the sauna session. A bottle of water will do just fine, while sugary and alcoholic beverages are highly discouraged. Be Prepared to Wipe Off Your Sweat Inside the sauna, you will probably sweat a great deal, so make sure you have plenty of towels to wipe it off. You should also line your bench with towels, so your sweat won’t drip from your seat. You can also put a towel under your feet to catch any beads of sweat from your legs. Take a Moment to Relax While Inside Think of your sauna session as your “me time”. That means you should be free from any distractions. Sit back, relax and breathe. Put on some soothing music so you’ll feel like you’re inside a spa. You can also try chromotherapy or color therapy. According to research, colors have been shown to help heal the body from various diseases. Hence, you can also use colors to restore your energy and make you feel revitalized again. 2

Simply follow these steps and your first time inside a home infrared sauna unit will be both enjoyable and beneficial. Remember that the best way to experience all your sauna’s health benefits is to use it regularly. Try to do this a few times a week, and your body will be grateful.
