This issue of the KW Magazine focuses on how we balance between being European and being African. I say this with the understanding that ..there are others whose ethnicities include Chinese, Indian, Middle Eastern or Jewish. However, the main struggle that the majority of us have is between being European and being African. We find this not only in the Caribbean but also on the continent of Africa that was also colonized. The French, the British, the Portuguese and the Spanish are among those who colonized portions of the continent. So the question is: Do we suffer from a crisis of identity?
