Fall Garage Sale Our parish is planning ahead for a garage sale in the fall. As you continue to clean and organize your homes, please save any garage sale worthy items you may have lying around your house or garage etc. All donations for our sale are appreciated. Please keep in mind that we do not have any storage space at the hall for your items. So please mark them with a price and hang on to them until we announce a date and time for drop off. If you have any questions, please call Priscilla Gadel at (318) 446-5502.
From The Pastor This is the season during which parents typically begin to think about registering their child/ren for school in the fall. Please remember that if your child/ren attend(s) a Catholic school which assesses a surcharge for non-parishioners, and you are an active, registered member of Mary, Mother of Jesus Parish, we will pay that assessment for you. This is one way to assist everyone in being able to register in the parish of their spiritual choice rather than financial need. Please feel free to contact me.
Parish Directory To date, 19 families have not picked up their parish directory. They are available for you in the narthex. Please take the one with your family name affixed. We still have a limited number of directories for sale at $5.00 each 4

Saint Paul begins today’s second reading by stating that he was “called” to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As baptized Catholics who have an opportunity to share in Christ’s life through the Eucharist regularly, we too are called to proclaim the teachings of Christ. We are stewards of Christ’s Gospel. But how are we responding to that call? Do we listen for the guidance of the Holy Spirit? Do we evade, dodge or ignore the Lord’s call? Do we attempt to proclaim the Gospel in a spirit of compassion and love? Reflect on how you exercise stewardship over the Gospel.
