America Needs Fatima Public Crusade Every year, America Needs Fatima promotes a Rosary Crusade asking Catholics everywhere to pray the rosary as a group in a public place on Oct. 15 to promote the message of Fatima. The Woman-to-Woman Catholic Conference

Immediate Opening for Teacher

The Woman-to-Woman Catholic Conference will be held on Saturday, October 15 at the Cajundome Convention Center, Lafayette, LA. Johnnette Benkovic, host of EWTN’s Women of Grace, will be the featured speaker. Through a series of three talks, Benkovic will bring women to an understanding of the unique and important role they play in their family, faith, and society. With compassion and guidance, Mrs. Benkovic helps women recognize that they are the moral leaders of society.

St. Mary’s Assumption School, Cottonport has an immediate opening for a full-time, certified middle school teacher for the 2011-2012 school year. Candidate must be dynamic and passionate about teaching and about being a model of faith for the students. The candidate, who will teach grades 6-8, must have a bachelor’s degree with the needed courses to meet credential requirements. Tickets can be purchase now through October 8. The cost is $40 per person and includes lunch. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Women of all faiths are welcome to attend. The Marian Movement of Priests Cenacle Monday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m.

The Marian Movement of Priests Cenacle presents an evening of Prayer, Reflection and Mass presented by Fr. Francis Geremia, C.S. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 204 Patton Ave., Shreveport, LA. Fr. Francis Geremia is the national director of the Marian Movement of Priests. The event will begin with the recitation of the Rosary, followed by the celebration of Holy Mass. During his homily he will speak about the importance of consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the formation of prayer cenacles. A reception will follow. All are invited to attend. There is no charge for admission.

Clergy Retreat Fr. Jason will be attending the annual diocesan Clergy Retreat held this week, Oct. 10-14 at Maryhill Retreat Center in Pineville. There will be no daily Masses.

Illuminated Rosary in Marksville The Illuminated Rosary at St. Joseph-Marksville will be held at 7:15 p.m. every Thursday until Thursday, Oct. 27. Bring the whole family and pray the Rosary together.
