CHRISTMAS MEMORIAL FLOWER FUND

WEEKLY PRAYER GROUP

This fund enables us to decorate the Church during the Christmas season. The donors and those to be remembered will be listed in the January 11, 2015 bulletin. The suggested donation is $10. An envelope for this purpose is in the pews, your monthly packet, or one of your own. Don’t forget to include on the envelope the name(s) of your loved one(s) to be remembered/honored.

MASS & SANCTUARY CANDLE INTENTIONS Requests are being accepted for Masses & Sanctuary Candles for 2015. Masses may be celebrated and candles memorialized for the living or the dead, in thanksgiving, for birthdays or anniversaries, or any other acceptable need. Please call the parish office.

WEDDING ANNIVERSARY MASS If you are celebrating a 25, 40, 50, 60 or more anniversary in 2014, we would like to honor you on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the 4:00PM Mass and present you with a Papal Blessing in honor of your marriage. If you would like to participate, please call or email the church office.

THANK YOU Thank you to all those who helped with the reception after Mr. Jack Ellington’s funeral Mass. The parish provides a meal in the hall for the bereaving family following the funeral Mass. Anyone who would like to assist in this ministry is invited to contact Bobbie Long at 442-3578.

TABERNACLE REFINISHING Thanks to a generous donation made by the Ogaard family, our tabernacle will be refinished in memory of Kyle Ogaard. The company doing the work is scheduled to remove the tabernacle this week. The work should take approximately 6-8 weeks. A temporary tabernacle will be in place during this time.

S.A.L.T. RETREATS Registration is now open for the S.A.L.T. (Servants Actively Leading Teens) Retreats January 10-11 and February 14-15. All retreats are held at Maryhill for students in grades 9-12. The cost is $87 per student. Please include payment (check to Sacred Heart Church) with your application. Forms are available online at www.diocesealex.org or call Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Pineville at 318-445-2497.

EFT REMINDER Just a reminder that you can make your offerings through EFT, which is an Electronic Fund Transfer. You can fill out a form which is located in the file slots by the doors and drop it in the collection basket or mail it to the office. You can make your offering weekly or monthly and by using your checking account or a credit card

SACRAMENTS OF THE CHURCH Reconciliation/Confession 30 minutes before every weekend Mass for 15 minutes. Baptism Celebrated during any weekend Mass or on Sunday afternoons. Contact the church office. Holy Matrimony Contact the pastor at least six months in advance. Anointing of the Sick and Communion Calls Please call the office when a parishioner is confined at home, is in the hospital, or placed in a nursing home or hospice. Holy Communion is brought weekly to all shut-ins. Mass of Christian Burial All arrangements should be made directly with the funeral home who will then contact the church.
